Fellow Warriors, I just wanted to share something I did a few days ago and am now seeing the benefits of with everyone. I have about 200 articles on EZA for one of my niches which generate a decent amount of views daily yet had a lower CTR (8%) from my resource box to the target site. The resource boxes were basically a continuation of my articles and a call to action explaining the product. I was getting an 8% click through rate from the EZA articles. I recently changed ALL my resource boxes for this particular site and instead of giving a short description of the product and a call to action, I attacked the readers emotions. I simply put "You're not making $4,200 a week flipping websites? If not visit www......" This may seem obvious to some, but it hadn't been to me. I was doing some number crunching and realized my CTR jumped to 28% from 8%! It also has generated more than average sales from that simple 15 minute edit. Just a quick tip to anyone out there who may be feeling iffy about their articles! -Thanks! |

I understand how that resource box would get a better CTR, however, now that the FTC has put up new guidelines, I'd be a little hesitant about using a resource box like that. Of course I am not a lawyer, nor do I even play one on TV or even the internet for that matter. FTC Publishes Final Guides Governing Endorsements, Testimonials I wonder if the FTC will go knocking on ezinearticles door for some of the articles and resource boxes. |

If you'll excuse a cautionary note, my own slightly related experience on this point - of writing articles for network marketers - has always been that a resource-box containing anything tantamount to an implicit earnings representation invariably produces a significantly higher click-through rate but doesn't actually generate any more business, in the long run. (I think the point above about the FTC may also be a very valid one in this context).

Good idea about the Trade Comission guys! Haven't thought about that. In regards to sales that's what I thought however my sales have been significantly stronger in the last day or so compared to usual, because I was weary of the same. The actual article will also play a large role in sales as well, as this worked for this particular niche, but may not for many others. I'm going to have to do some poking on these new FTC guidelines to cover my butt! Thanks |

Direct "call to action" resource boxes like that work better at converting. So, yes, this can work for just about any article, if you craft very well. |

I tried with words like FREE, discounts, coupon codes promotion, lose and they have worked very well for me. |

I never fell for any kind of emotional play on words - for I believe I can see right through deception and trickery. I think may be it works for others.
