I'm fairly new to this business, so let's pretend completely new to make it easy: 1. How much is a reasonable amount of money someone can make from straight article marketing. Let's say, writing 10 articles a day, submitting to ezine and 5 other directories. 2. Again, I realize everything differs, but would it be more profitable on average to simply link these article to a domain re-directing to the product page, or to build a presell page/blog? 3. Is $50 a day in a short amount of time reasonable? 100? Again, I understand everyone will have different results. But let's just say you pick a few keywords, write 10 articles, submit to 5-6 directories, and either presell or re-direct. Let's hear some opinions and suggestions here. I want to know realistically, once I understand keyword research and other things a bit better, if writing 10 articles a day (which I can do) will be worthwhile and bring in a pseudo-steady income (and what kind of figures I'm looking at) Thanks |

You need to take into consideration your LONG TERM GOALS. How many products are you planning to promote? If it is several, keep in mind you will need a new domain for each if you go the direct route - and even an 89 cent info domain will cost you 10 bucks the next year. If you direct people to your own site, yes - you will need to get some hosting, but you can build endless sites and on a blog you'll be able to add an autoresponder and start your list building. List build leads to clients you can sell to over and over again and the list can keep growing for a long time. You can experiment for what products work, but in addition to making some quick cash, do yourself a favor and think longer term. Do you want to write articles for ever and ever? Or do you want to direct the traffic and start collecting names? |

My goal is clearly to make a living eventually, but right now, I really need short term cash. Like within the next few weeks, so I wanted to know, if I write as much as I said I'd write in the original post, how much I could make almost immediately. I already have a niche and a product picked out to start.

are you asking for "Typical" results one could expect? ZERO If you actually DO the things in your OP, and IF you can write well and IF you provide good content and IF you then provide a really good hook at the end that gets you a high clickthru rate and IF you have a good landing page or pre-sell page, then you could typically expect to make a few sales. But as far as an actual amount you could make per day or per week, there are no TYPICAL results. forget to add - $50 to $100 a day is possible but not Typical. (for the FTC fans - I am just starting to practice) |
