Can You Flip A WSO Product For 5 Times Profit?

Hi,

im just wondering. I have heard that the general rule is that you can flip websites that around 3-5 times its earning value. But does this hold true for a website/product that you promoted only through the wso section? So lets say I launched a wso that made $1000 in profits, could I head over to flippa and flip the site for say $4-5k? Im just curious if these "rules" change when your dealing with a wso type product where you can prove your earnings. Thanks

I've seen people sell their WSO products but normally they seem to sell for about 2-3 times the income - you can't really call a WSO promotion a 'monthly' income so therefore it's unlikely you'll get 5 times the profit (I guess you could get lucky though if you've got a great product).

    Yes Hamida is right!

Products that sell for 5 times profit and more have generally been generating that profit for months, so hold more weight. As a WSO is initial sales in one go, the product desn't hold as much weight!

It is definately worth trying though as I know you can make a decent chunk if the product is good!

There does seem to be some guidelines for how much you can sell a site for but I have seen sites with no profit go for a good sum. It depends on if you go the extra mile and add some perks to it.

For instance one brand new site I watched sell went for almost $3500. because the owner had built in automated site promotion, linking and article marketing.

I've seen several sell for $750. to $1500. because the sits had their own product, they were clickbank ready and had affiliate tools such as banners made specifically for the sites. They were turnkey clickbank businesses. All were simple designs with great graphics.

The above were brand new sites with very little marketing and no income. If you can prove $1000. in sales and take the extra steps to make your offer far more appealing than the norm there really is no rule on how much it can sell for. It's really up to you and the effort you put into it.

Was this a brand new site with a clickbank ready product? Was the site promotion already in place, or was it something they promised to do after the sale?

        (Just curious)

Clickbank ready but not listed, the site was ready, had it's own unique product, affiliate ready and sold for a good price.

Promotion had started but not very much done when it sold.

Also just to chime in a little more ; )

There is more value on your WSO when you flip it if it has salespage and all of that that with graphics already set up!

As Steve says, go a bit further make sure it is plug and play and your profit should increase a little more!

    Also to chime in...

Make a WSO Membership, build monthly revenue, use a subscription service that does not require members to resignup under the new owner and flip for 7 times.

A sites value is not based solely on sales. If someone is looking for a fully functional site with custom programing the site could be brand new with no traffic and still sell for 5k or more. If the program is original/unique, creative, and appears to have value based on what has gone into development, you could sell a brand new site for high dollar. How much would you have paid for world of warcraft with no sales but fully programed?

You could also have a basic site that looks like crap that is selling 10K per month that will sell for high dollar.
