Hi all! I've been interested in fixed term memberships for awhile, but have hesitated about purchasing because I'm not sure that it will be able to do what I want. Some examples: 1. I set up a membership with a week-by-week child development theme. If someone is ordering and their child is 20 weeks along, it doesn't make sense for them to start at 1 week. Can they somehow jump in at week 20? 2. I set up a monthly craft ideas membership. Obviously, you want the one with Halloween crafts to come out in October, Christmas ones in December, and so on. Can you set up the membership to do this. Or is it just based on when they sign up? (e.g. I set up the membership in December, so the first month is always the one with Christmas stuff) Can anyone that runs programs like this answer these questions? Thanks! Love, Shannon |

This is why you use a membership script that offers categories. Create categories for specific downloads, I have one of my sites setup as separated by "main product name" "bonus downloads" "unadvertised Downloads".. Of course you can also drip feed the content for certain dates also ... Setup category "christmas" and have the date started at Dec 1, 2009 - Have several products then set the first at Dec 1, 2009 and the 2nd at Dec 7, 2009 and etc .. James |

Thanks! And I'm assuming how to do this would be covered if I were to purchase Membernaire or another "how to" product? Or at least with the software? Love, Shannon |

I've heard that fixed term memberships have higher conversion rates... versus indefinite ones...

Most of the fixed term membership how to products like Membernaire tell you how to run a membership but do not provide the script to make it work on your own. You will need to research stand alone membership scripts to see which ones will support your particular needs. |
