Default pick a business model and stick to it???

Hello all,

I'm new around here and ended up on the forum after a friend of mine (a warrior) got tired of answering my 1000 questions

My mom is launching a clothing related product online after years of selling it door to door and building her line. Now we're getting an online store and that's how I ended up here trying to learn SEO and how to get her store to rank for her keywords. We haven't launched the store yet, so all I've been doing so far is learning about internet marketing and SEO and getting ready to implement some of the thing's Ive learned so far (can't wait to see how it works!). I find all this information very amazing and am glad I ended up here.

So as for my question,
I have a friend who is having a hard time finding a job (he might have gotten a part time one) and after seeing me spend hours on end on WF he became interested in it as well.

And to better explain what IM is all about to him, I kind of have a question I needed answered. I see a lot of warrior members recommending noobs to "pick one business model and stick to it" or something along those lines. But I have yet to find a thread that lists and maybe even outlines the most common business models that new warriors follow. To start out by picking a model, first I would want to know what are the most common models (well I'm doing the "ecommerce" model for the foreseable future).

Of course I've picked up a bit on the most obvious models like article marketing and affiliate marketing. but what else is there? I'd really like to discuss these with my friend and see what he could get into. he's probably joining the forum as soon as he gets home to find out more himself.

Well I hope that was an appropriate question

Thanks!

life is a funny old thing. left IM for 3 years , threwaway literally 20 grand of materials and personal research. Decided to come back into it as offline biznot growing to time-consuming and not making the returns I needed.

Then just as I am about to tell my clients to go forth and multiply with other consultants , they come forth and multiply for me.

4 a day for the last 2 weeks. Great you say but that's the problem, emotionally I know I can't keep up servicing the increasing client load, especially as they have not paid yet and I want to re-start IM.

What do I do?

Unfortunately there's no real cut and dry answer because all of these "models" are usually hybrids of multiple marketing methods.

For example, there's article marketing... which is also a form of SEO .. through which you can send people to your membership site ... and then you do affiliate marketing to that list ... and then you flip the site a year later ... and then you blog about how you did it... and create a product based on how you did it ... and who knows what else.

The internet marketing world is confusing at times, but stick with it, don't give up, and eventually you'll find your way.
