Does anyone sell anything other the the usual stuff....CPA/clickbank? I like affiliate marketing but I have no desire to sell clickbank/cpa/hosting stuff. I know people are making a killing in those above markets but there are other products worth selling. If anyone has any experience with retail products. What's your experience been like. thanks, Ron |

I've definitely been an affiliate for products other than CPA and clickbank. I'm sure a lot of people on this forum have. Just join an affiliate network like Linkshare or CJ and you'll find tons of affiliate programs. Retail products tend to have lower commissions than digital products like Clickbank. But they still convert if you set up your website well. Sometimes I think it's easier to be an affiliate for non-CPA, non-clickbank products because there seems to be a lot less competition in many niches. |

I was just asking to see if anyone else was doing it. I don't have a problem with the smaller commissions. I can find tons of good keyowrds. All the traffic will make up for it. Do you have any tips for setting up my webpage? | |

Yup, back before I started creating my own products I was promoting affiliate stuff for an online pet store....so its not all about the CPA/CB/IM niches etc and good money can be made in lots of other areas. Hope that helps |

my bread and butter is affiliate sales along with dating and nudie cams. Works out OK for me. I do a lot of cross promotion of products on my sites... guys searching for obnoxious t-shirts are also interested in the 100's of lonely girls in their area waiting to meet them so I'm typically targeting a demographic and building websites catering to the wants and needs of that demographic. I may hook them searching for xbox cheats but make the sell on webcams. It's all a matter of keeping your eye open for good products that will sell and most importantly will sell online. |

It's funny, I grew up on the retail side of the affiliate business and most of my clients, forum members and affiliates do retail products. For instance one of my clients is Google Affiliate Network and they have hundreds of retail affiliate programs, with probably millions of products, similar to CJ and Linkshare. So in my world, retail affiliate programs are the mainstream and info products and CPA are more on the fringe. But I know here, it's just the opposite with most affiliates promoting info products and CPA. So I guess it's just a matter of where you focus. |

for retail pick a brand that isn't going to go out of business tomorrow and go long tail seo on them. then cross your fingers the affiliate program doesn't change on you.

What I would do is google what ever niches your interested in and see if theres affiliate programs to those niches...you will be surprised what you find... A few months ago I sold a $20.000 dollar Sub Zero Fridge, my cut was $2800... thats not a bad return on a $200 of advertising... |

I have done all CB products and some CPA so far, but I can definitely see the value in going for more retail products. My challenge is getting approvals for these other affiliate networks. Does anyone have some good tips for getting approved to the retail affiliate networks so we can get into these markets? |
