Here's the background: I've been "task sourcing" small projects for awhile now and am finally ready to take the leap and hire a full-time virtual assistant. I'm looking for someone with solid writing skills and preferably from the Philippines. The only problem is I'm not really sure what I should pay someone in the Philippines. I am interested in paying fair wage that they can live comfortably with, but obviously would like to keep my cost low. Does anyone have suggestions for a fair starting wage? Thanks in advance for your help. |

Not sure what the rate in the Philippines would be. Here is what I suggest. Visit a freelance site. Elance, getafreelancer, there are others that will be mentioned. Do a search for virtual assistant and see what the bids are going for. This might help you decide what to pay. Just a thought |

Just go talk to Jake and hire a VA from him. I have seen nothing but positive feedback from those that have hired through him, including myself. He charges $75 per week for full time. Full Time Virtual Assistant starting at $75 a week |

we have several full time Phillis but they are all paid different wages and def alot cheaper (and more output) than local. I am not sure that I would farm out my writing to any of them though.

Try to look into onlinejobs.ph or bestjobs.ph. There's a lot of outsourcer from the Philippines that you could hire. Rate for full time depends on the employee...Best starting rate is $250 per month. |

In a situation such as this, I always visit Elance and post a job on there. That way you can get a range of quotes and a better idea of the going rates. John Burton |
