Hi, so far I have mostly used Free traffic, having read up on it for a long time and having many ebooks on the subject. What is the best way to get paid advertising. To drive targeted traffic to my landing pages? Is PPC still the best? I think its a bit expensive. How about paid classifieds etc? |

| PPC is simply the best, as it is targeted traffic, which converts like crazy if done correctly. I find the yahoo marketing network to perform better than adwords on certain type of promotions. Adwords is still the best, but they now have very strict rules.

I agree with Re-cycle. PPC is the best form of paid traffic for targeted traffic. However, you need to carefully monitor your conversions and how much money you are making versus how much you are spending on PPC to make sure you are not overspending. If you adjust your campaigns over time, Adwords can be a huge source of converting traffic.

Paying for traffic, your best route is to go with PPC. Not only is it extremely targeted (people searching for exactly what you're promoting) but it allows you to quickly scale if you need to. Can't find the exact stats, but for me (and many I know) the best converting in order are: MSN - but lower traffic Google - high traffic, but most expensive and toughest regulated Yahoo - less traffic than Google, but tends to be more affordable |

If you can brake even with your backend offer than you can use PPC as it still works like a charm. I think that if you're asking this you don't know enough on free traffic strategies. There are hundreds if not thousands of ways to drive laser targeted traffic to any website, and you can use all of them instead of working with PPC ads. This is what I think, but again... If you can brake even with your offer and still build a list than it's OK to use PPC. |

Yep , PPC can be one of best option but not suitable for newbies. For new people try some free source's like writing article, spin them and submitting them to top article directories. Youtube, social bookmarking, web 2.0 are also some good traffic sources. After this, take a look on paid banners site's ( suitable for your niche you'e promoting and targeted traffic)

Hey Quality, I'm gonna have to politely disagree with you on this one. Everyone is a PPC newbie sometime, the only way to be successful at it is to give it a shot. Now I do recommend newbies start with Google, find long tail keywords to work with, and set very low budgets on their campaigns while collecting data on their keywords. Also, obviously a tracking solution is needed. The point being is that if you don't go out there and try something out such as PPC, there's no way you will ever get good at it just by reading books! I would have to say PPC also but you have to be very careful with Adwords, It can take you for thousands if your not careful. You must watch your campaigns closely and choose your keywords carefully. Mike |

Looking over the PRWeb.com website I can see where this would be good for certain types of sites to be sure. You can also do a hybrid where you pay for articles to be written and then submit them to article directories. You're not paying for traffic per se but rather the content that will bring you the traffic. | |
