Heye Got this friend of mine asking me to replace his html site with a new CMS solution to make some sales online. He needs to be able to change items etc etc just like any other online shop. He REALLY needs another payment option beside PayPal or CC: he needs the "send me through mail I'll pay later" option. (Sorry real sleepy here ) I recommended WP ECommerce plugin but can«t find the option he needs - just Paypal payments. So any expert can advice a solution? A Ecommerce Script? Or a tweak to WP EC plugin? Thanks for your time people! fernando |

Ive been hearing very good things about a wordpress plugin called Shopp. Its newer than WP-ecommerce but apparently has nowhere near as many bugs, as well as greater payment options. Shopp — plugin ecommerce for wordpress Hope this helps. John Burton |

If you're going to have a store than I think you better get an ecommerce script. It's better to have a script that was specially design for your needs. Cheers, Mike G P.S I don't say that the Wordpress plugin is not good... But I know a few phenomenal ecommerce scripts. |

You could go with another alternative which is to use the WordPress website to presell and provide marketing materials and then go with and outsourced solution for your shopping cart such as Shopify (Shopify — Create Your Online Store) or Yahoo Stores (Yahoo! Merchant Solutions: Everything you Need for an Ecommerce Business) This outsources the painful ecommerce bit and allows you to concentrate on the selling |

Just a quick update: trying out the ecommerce plugin from Instinct ^^ and after some tests I've managed to put the plugin to work as it should with Vanilla WP theme - a ecommerce theme btw. With some major skinning and CSS hacks we are getting there!! Fernando |

I just used Shopperpress.com it is a shopping cart theme for wordpress and you can use this for free and you can also upgrade to their premium membership. So I am using this and chose Fastpsring as my merchant and who handles all the orders since I'm selling digital downloads. I also have tried the wp-ecommerce from Instinct which is also a good one. |
