| Some people may not have enough posts to send a PM, so eMail would be the only option for them. If you go that route, I would think it would need to be a requirement that sellers post contact details in their WSO. If it's hidden away in their profile, newbies may not be able to find it easily (or know to look there), so it'll just add to the frustration of anyone who legitimately purchased a WSO and had problems receiving it.

You need to check for the name the buyer bought under, too -- I had a sale and my download link wasn't working. One person bought then sent me a pm that he didn't get the link and gave me a po number. I couldn't find that po# anywhere - so told him the sale wasn't showing up. It turns out that HE DID purchase - his name and money were there......the po number was wrong. Not sure if the mistake was his or pay-pals, but if I hadn't checked it out further I would have ended up cheating someone out of a product. So it works both ways.

I don't post the transaction id. To me, it's easier to just forward the email that paypal sends you as your receipt. That eliminates all doubt in my opinion.

| Yes, that is a great idea and a constructive way to curb this kind of behaviour. Forwarding the entire transaction email definitely eliminates any doubts of purchase fraud.

Interesting, I guess there is no limit to what some will do to save a buck, I never bothered checking, but I can see now that I had better start being more careful. One thing for sure, the time verses lost revenues are more important than ever as the recession brings out the rip offs on all front. I have been seeing a similar problem with affiliate marketing, more and more poeple simply input their own clickbank ID's into url cutting out who ever got them to affiliate site to begin with, one of the reasons most affiliate programs are going to multi-tier to try and prevent total loss on sales. The whole industry is in for a tough time the worse the recession gets, so hang on. Success to all, |

I wouldn't necessarily say that. E-junkie has been a real pain. I've had to notify the product owner to get my stuff two of the past three times I've bought something through there because I couldn't get the products to download. Wishful thinking, but I get what you're saying. :-) | |

(This number is now triple what is was 10 years ago, there is some way we are raising our young that is causing this anomaly to grow exponentially. Or maybe it is TV, not sure and though studies have been done on TV's increase of ADHD & ADD, no studies have YET linked TV content with the rise in sociopaths as a percentage of population.) Sociopaths have no conscience and no regret over saying or acting in any inappropriate manner, such as stealing or lying. They are immune to feelings of regret entirely. So it is not surprising this goes on (to me) and though one would like to think the Warrior Forum members were a cut above, with the price of admittance only $10, that is an unlikely scenario. (Yes, I know what 'they' say about stats, but it is true... look it up. And yes I am also aware 15% of the people that read this will be sociopaths. )
