Default WSO Sellars Beware - Disturbing Trend Going On

I have been keeping this to myself for some time, but since this is going overboard lately, decided to discuss openly, without mentioning any names. Just a short note to ALL WSO sellars - When someone claims to have 'bought' your product/service and gives you their 'Purchase Transaction ID', do your due dilligence and check if the person really bought or just issued a fake transaction ID, anticipating that you will send him or her the product download link. Many sellars are too busy to check and authenticate if the purchase was really made, and unwittingly send these fakers the product download link.

Thanks For Reading,

Nora

That is why it is much better to automate the whole thing by paying somebody like e-junkie.com $10 a month to take away the pain and let them manage the Paypal payments (Plug - I use it for my WSO and it works fine!)

I was actually wondering this the other day. If people were doing that. I see people posting transaction ids in the threads all the time, I don't know why they would do that in the first place. Fools. But anyway...

The WSO's here are dirt cheap and are extremely useful for most people. It's a shame there are people who go that far.

Maybe there should be some new protocol when selling. For example, perhaps some sort of warning to users when replying to WSO threads? I was thinking of a pop-up but would be irritating. Maybe some sort of RED LABEL just above the user input message box. " WARNING: Posting your transaction # or other personal ordering information is forbidden. Please contact the seller directly with your ordering or transaction # If you have comments or questions regarding such. K thanks."

Get up and move around. Sitting for hours on end is bad for you.

Yes it happens on occasion - BUT - there are also sellers who don't understand what a "transaction id" is.

If I give you MY transaction id for a purchase - it does nothing for you. The transaction ID the buyer receives from Paypal is different than the Seller's transaction ID. That's because the ID's are for paypal's use.

The way to know if someone bought or not is for them to provide their PAYPAL EMAIL ADDRESS.

Sellers asking for "your transaction ID number" tell me the seller doesn't know how to easily find a transaction on paypal.

Thanks for the heads up.

I also agree that automating delivery is the way to go. I've used e-junkie and it works well. I'm using Mike Lantz's system now at wsoplus and I'm very happy with it. For $10 its a great deal for WSOs. And opens up JV opportunities with Mike and the Warrior Forum itself.

I never understood why people posted transaction IDs in the first place.

Is it because they are wasting time by manually sending the WSO content to their buyers?

Yeah.. I have actually done this myself but because I didn't receive direct access
to the WSO I bought. The reason I posted the transaction ID was also because I
had seen other people do it. I wouldn't say that everyone that does this is a scam
because this has been done for many years at the WF.

But there is no reason this should be of any trouble for the seller. If you see some
one post their transaction ID just click on their name and pick send a private message.
Ask the person for more information like their paypal email address.

I wouldn't say this is a major problem and no one really has to become a victim if they
just take the time to interact with their customers or have a clear line in their WSO
that tells them to use a support desk or use PM's for these kind of situations.

I also remember that the seller would actually ask their buyers to post the
transaction ID in the thread to increase the post count and make their thread look
more attractive hehe

I always send them products to their paypal email when I recieve an email from paypal stating that I have got a payment. Some people just don't respect that it takes to write a truly wonderful WSO and share somebody else's hard work with a bunch of broke people

I just use DLGuard (dlguard.com) and automate the whole thing. They can post transaction IDs to their heart's content but they won't get a download link unless they bought

I use e-junkie also. What I run into a lot, is that people often use a different e-mail address for their PayPal accounts and don't realize that the download link is sent to that address. I think that it's important to let them know that the product will be delivered to their PayPal address, somewhere in your sales page.

EJunkie also has another great feature; you can go into your dashboard and re-send the thank you email with re-activated download links - which will also expire according to the timeframe you have set up for that product.

I'm a huge e-junkie fan!

I also plan to check out WSO plus the next time I run a WSO, seems like a great system.

Seriously? People send out products without checking the payment has been received?

I know I'm relatively new here (but not to online business, granted), but isn't it common sense?

Thanks for the tip though, it's worth posting up for those sellers who apparently don't check something as basic as this.

Seriously if the so call buyer give you the transaction id and you never check to verify whether he or she has bought it, you cannot blame anyone.

It take less a minute to verify the transaction id and I suppose most marketeers know how to use the search function.

Never could understand why anybody would not deliver with some type of automation...other than having an excuse to add comments to the thread. "I paid and did not get the link" +
"Just sent the link" adds up to a popular looking thread pretty fast.

Still sometimes there is a wrench in the system...people accidentally close download page
before they finish downloading or whatever.

Always a good idea to check for payment confirmation before sending a link.

Based on some of the money making suggestions I have read recently which include all kinds
of ways to make money by scamming people, I would not be surprised if there is not some
report bouncing around telling people to use this "transaction id" technique to get free WSOs or other products.

Thanks for the reminder.

If somebody gives you their transaction ID, you can still find the transaction
by entering it into a PayPal search. It cross indexes their ID against your ID
and finds the transaction. If there is no match, there'll be nothing to find.

Bottom line...don't just take somebody's word for it.

Look it up...it takes 2 minutes.

There is one WSO poster who implies that
his WSO's are rather popular based on the
number of replies. When I double checked
what he was saying, I discovered that the
huge majority of replies were people being
encouraged to post their PP transaction
ID's, and his replies to them. I decided on
that day to never buy this guys products.
If he can misrepresent the truth about his
popularity, what else can be
misrepresented?

This is interesting as someone who does not offer many WSO's I think I've done two in my entire time in the WF, I never thought of this.

I'll plus one on the eJunkie or Allen's WarriorPro( I think it does the same as ejunkie). I used it for my last WSO and its great to not have to worry about the backend. To pay them is well worth the cost and will make your life easier.

The ways people choose to deceive has been raised to an art form.

Sometimes I think there are some people in NLP community who are responsible.

If you haven't seen "Lie To Me" (US TV Series) -- check it out.

OTOH, if you truly want to see something frightening about the limits (or lack thereof) to persuasion -- get your hands on a copy of Derren Brown's "The Heist." Sometimes it shows up on video sites. You want to watch the whole thing...about 60 minutes, I think. The abbreviated versions don't do it justice.

For truly ethical persuasion, check out Robert Cialdini's Institute, forgot the name offhand.

Part of the problem, of course, is that what is lying to some is justified as righteous in the mind of the liar. Same with the stealing. "Those people are stealing from me because they are selling me crap."

I am in NO WAY justifying the thinking...just trying to help people understand how that thinking works.

And if you think the one or two pseudo-refunders are the problem, you have NO IDEA of the depth of the "marketplace" (term used very loosely) in illegally obtained WSOs. One of the surest way to make no money with your wso is to keep it from having any kind of download link protection.

It's one of the first things I ask my clients -- "What are you using for download protection for your product."

If they don't have it, it can drive "conversion rates" to zero.

K thanks."
Or even better just make it a rule that you have to send a PM or email the owner! and that you have to include an email address on your profile or whatever. If not you get an infraction and banned if you continue.

That will put a big stop to it all!

Glenn your right there!

For me and im sure many other warriors it actually makes us not buy it and turn away, i hate having to open a support ticket or contact the owner of a product i purchased and then having to wait for the actual download.

Try and avoid that seller next time too, even worse is when they are online and don't reply to you probably hoping you will post in their thread and 'bump' it up.

Well Said!

I know Imran is a big believer too that anyone who gets a product for free actually doesn't 'profit' from it as much as someone who pay's for exactly the same thing.

Of course there are always people who do but the % is even smaller than if you buy it.

Oh well... enjoy being rich everyone else

Are you joking!

Your products only $7... you mean they would prefer to spend a minute making up a fake transaction id as well as posting and never being trusted again just to get a free product... and the waiting time between that and a reply!

Now that is low... very low!

Next thing they are going to be doing it for $1 products and free products too which will be funny.

"hey i just purchased here's my transaction id: 1MAB1GL13R1D1DNTP4Y"

"oh... but this products free!"

Yes, I had two from Korea 6 months ago. They B*tched and Moaned about "NO" value in my $4.95 44+ products and then I saw what they were doing. % bucks here, $10 bucks there. I called them on the 'Purchase Transaction ID' over and over but they disappeared... and quickly after I could not verify it. One sent me his but NOPE... he was scamming!

Why we are on the subject. Anyone having trouble on the WSO forum moving down like lightning? I moved 2/3 down the forum in 2 hours from the time I sent in my $20. Over 1/3 down in like 40 minutes. Am I seeing things or is this just where the cards fell? Are some mods approving tons of offers too fast there? Please let me know what has changed, if anything.

Cheers,

Well since the new system has come in it seems both the number of wso's and the number of times people bump their wso has increased a hell of alot!

Ok there are more people looking at the wso section than ever but now the 'trick' is to create a succesful wso and then get allen to partner with you for maximum exposure and profit.

I remember however about 6 to 8 months ago the wso was fast moving so im wondering if its because we had another influx of a few wso's teaching others how to make wso's and the ebook creation services are on the rise again too.

Bad for wso sellers really but then if you have a good product then the $20 fee should be nothing unless your wso is free (but then surely you profit from the list creation).

Now regarding wso approval times and them being done in batch order moderation im not too sure but i submitted my wso for approval about an hour ago and am still waiting for the payment pm so i can take it live so hoping it will be soon.

But then again also maybe you are just submitting your wso or bumping it at the wrong times... there are more wso's and alot more longer wso's that are being re-bumped over and over but also there are times where the wso section is slower moving too.

Maybe someone who has released alot of new wso's recently can come in and answer the approval question for you.

I went to page three in less than 24 hours . This being my first contribution to the WSO section I thought it was par for the course .

you're kidding! Really?

Oh wait - do you mean those days when a WSO actually stayed on the first page for more than an hour?

I think it's funny that people will resort to trying to "steal" a WSO - they probably work harder at that than we do at working!

I get all my paypal transactions in my main email so I know if a order was done or not. There is at times (very rare) that paypal may not send an email but for the most part I get all mine and they are filled in the proper folders.

Yeah, it happens to me a lot. There were about 10 clowns
recently that contacted me because their download link was not
delivered.

I told them to provide me with the e-mail that they paid me with
of course, so that I can send it there (after I check on paypal that
I did recieve a payment from that e-mail).

Instead of sending me the e-mail address, they sent me some
"made up" transaction details.

Of course, I won't fall for that. Only an idiot would.

Anyway, keep them coming mates!

You're keeping me entertained!

Cheers,
Johnny

This is par for the course. One simple
rule change would help where only
one WSO per person in the top 3
pages would slow things down
quite a bit.
