Last night someone here was asking for help on PTC or paid to click, also known as paid to read:
How to earn money via Paid to click And this morning while having my coffee I was in my usual dreamy state and something occurred to me. This may have already been done - but I don't believe it has. I don't have the resources at this time to build it or test it or even do it at this time, so I thought I would throw the idea out there anyway for you all to punch holes in. The idea is that the people who sign up on the paid to read just click through and they are sent through an iframe (I believe) where a timer pops up and they have to wait before clicking to read the next ad. What if there was a service that provided their own version of sidewiki as a separate application? So, those reading the ad could either fill in a questionaire on the side (other than just reading) or even add their comments and feelings on the product. This kind of service could offer a much higher payment to the readers, as they would be able to offer higher quality information back to the advertiser. Some here were also talking about the idea of adding a comments area to the bottom of a sales page - so this idea ties in a bit with that as well. Would this spin on the service be a good one or bad? Do people really want to know what the readers are thinking when they see the page? I think I would. |

It may even be offered as a WSO one day soon if development costs don't run too high, there is sufficient projected demand and it can be offered cheaply enough for Warriors to afford it. ![]() Tom

I think the difference here is that users who are involved in the service would have submitted some information in their application process. This information would be stored and could be updated on demand every 6 months.
So, the company would automatically have my age, gender, hobbies, etc. It would be more specific than random wiki comments - as well as there would not be any spam. People reading the ads would be paid and expected to be more along the lines of serious reviewers. Someone who did just spam would be removed from the program. |

And for some that may be enough. The service I'm discussing could choose to allow or disallow others to see what those before them have written. I would think they wouldn't share comments amongst users.

![]() Yep, I think most would not allow comment sharing. If "users," especially one's being paid for responses could, "see what those before them have written," the servce would be kind of compromised and of little value to advertisers. This is because the temptation (and action) of the posters would be to just kind of copy from above intentionally, "gaming the system" so to speak. Or, purely as a part of how our brains work, the users would be influenced by what they read, therefore their opinions would be lead. Rendering them of little qualitative value to the advertisers.
