Need to hire some for quick job - Get infected files out so my site is back online

I'm in need of someone trustworthy to hire for a quick little job. At least I think it will be quick. I'm too much of a techie-tard to figure out how to do this myself.

One of my web sites won't come up. It shows up as an attack site. Someone told me there are all kinds of porn files on the site. I have no idea how that happened.

I need someone to go into my site's files, find the porn, and get rid of it so my site will appear again.

The fee is up for negotiation.

I'd like to have it done fairly soon (before Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009) to meet a deadline for a related project.

Please let me know if you are interested in this project or if you recommend someone.

Thanks bunches!

Jill

    Jillian:

I don't know who you are hosting with, but when my sites were hacked and infected, and showing up in Google as attack site, Hostgator assisted me (read...they did all the work as I was clueless) with getting rid of the malicious files....might be something your hosting company will help you with at no charge.

    Good luck with it.

    It's not in HostGator.

It was being hosted for free by an acquaintance. I don't feel right about asking this person for more help. I've already bothered them with a few questions since these problems began.

I looked through the "knowledge base" area in the hosting account and can't find a way to contact this company.

At this point, I'd just like to see about hiring someone to take a look and see what they can do.

      UPDATE:

The last person who took a look at my site's files just told me that it looks to her like the infected files are gone, so things should be OK.

However, the "attack site" message still comes up when I go to my URL.

She suggested I get in touch with the company where I bought my domain name because I might need to be de-listed from some sort of list that keeps track of attack sites.

I have just spent some time on live chat with Bizland.com, which is where I bought the domain name long ago. I really hate this company and should move the domain if this ever gets resolved.

They are telling me to do stuff that does not sound right.

This same thing happened several months ago with Bizland. I think their chat people copy-and-paste responses and canned answers because they are really no help at all.

This chick to me that my site is not hosted there, so I need to delete my domain name from my account.

This is the same thing they told me last time, which really screwed me up.

I can't get these people to listen to me.

My domain name is with Bizland.com and it points to where my site lives with another company.

But Bizland keeps saying, "Your site is not hosted here. Delete your domain name from our accounts."

If I did that, doesn't that mean my domain name would be floating around and unable to point to the site?

Once your site is labeled as attack site you need to go to google webmaster tools, and they provide you specific steps you need to take to get rid of that label. It is not difficult to go through the steps.

You will need to be able to access your hosting account because one step requires you to verify that you own the site...they ask you to add a file (or something...its been a while). After you verify ownership and check off that the bad stuff has been removed, they check your site and if it is fine, the attack site label is removed.

    Thanks, everyone!

Problem solved. My site now appears without saying it's an attack site.

Looks like the files got damaged somehow because the header is gone, but I can live with that. It needed to be spruced up anyway. My main concern was getting over this "attack site" thing.
