Hi Guys My search engine results show pages from my wordpress blog archive for entries I wrote a couple of weeks ago. Id prefer to show the page with all the sub categories displayed, not entries displayed in the archives. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks in advance Barry |

Barry, I'm not exactly sure what you mean. If you are talking about Google and Yahoo, it's not that easy to get them to display exactly the pages you want them to - that's what SEO is all about! You can ask them not index certain pages on your site using a robots.txt file - have a look at The Web Robots Pages for more info. You could install a plugin like Platinum SEO plugin, which will do the work for you. Getting the search engines to de-index pages that are already appearing is not simple. Generally, my feeling is that the more pages you can get indexed the better. |
