Default Eza: I failed again.. Need some cheering up?

Its coming near to three months already... The first month I played around with all sorts of get-rich-quick schemes, realized that it was not working out for me.. Second month, I started to focus on a couple of methods, and realize that focusing on method will be the better option. This month, I tried putting my articles into 20 different sites with high PR, but no traffic. Ezinearticles rejected my articles time and time over again. Suspended once, twice, and today, I was suspended thrice. I am tired. I know this will work out if I keep working at it... But. I seem be still stuck within the darkness.

I keep trying, I will keep trying. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

It is sure tough to do internet marketing

I'm at this for a only little more than one year and during most of it I made only around $10 per month... Now I'm making much more. I found that the secret is sticking to one method and investing in it. If after a month it isn't working, switch to another strategy.

Don't beat yourself up. I don't have a single article on EZA, I've never tried to submit one, and I have no intention of every doing so.

I'm just curious as to why you were suspended on EZA, I've never heard of being suspended and maybe if you can enlighten me on that it may be the root of your traffic problems?

Keep with it though, success is always just on the horizon right before you quit, when it seems the most bleak and hopeless.

Stick in there, it will happen eventually, just test test test then scale everything up once you find it working.

What do you mean ezine suspended you? Rejected an article?

You don't "need" eza, but heres the thing. You have no traffic coming from your current articles and this tells me they either are not any good, something is not formatted with them (like a proper call to action at the end) or you are promoting a niche that is possibly too broad or something that is boarderline offensive ( it doesn't take much) in eza's eyes.

If you are serious about doing article marketing then it sounds like you might want to focus on improving what you are doing and just get it right once.

From there you can continue to improve.

Did Mr. Edison give up so quickly? Thank him that he didn't or none of us would even be on computers right now.

Keep plugging away and find your lightbulb moment.

Thanks guys.. Just nice this situation clashed with my problems of the heart. Shucks. When it rains, it really pours down. I got one or two problem articles, I didn't wanted to edit it, so I just deleted it. And immediately I got suspended. I didn't know that I will get suspended just by deleting my article. Gosh. The other time was that they didn't like my pen name, and I got suspended. Man. Now they reject my article claiming that the links from my article goes to site that have insufficient value yada yada. I was so annoyed that I deleted all my draft articles and now I will start from scratch again. This time in a different niche. =( . Sigh. Man.

@TMG : It is not converting though.. I am not sure why though.. I applied a couple of copy tricks here and there, and pushed a bit of traffic there, but nada.

Hey Edmund,

Nice to see a fellow Singaporean. I'd be willing to help
you out since we're both Warriors. Hit me with a PM

When deleting your articles put this in your reason form.

" After reviewing my articles , I feel their quality was so inferior that if they were to get approved it would lower the value of your site . Just as you strive to offer quality articles , I too have decided to focus more on quality and work to insure a higher quality ,end user experience ".

I have never used these exact words but I learned a long time ago if you hand someone your head on a platter , they usually will not ask for much else .

Are you sure that was the reason? I rarely have a problem article but when I do I just delete it and submit it elsewhere. I've done this a number of time and never been suspended.

Ok, this is not to "rub in your face" by any means. LOL, but here is what I just got back - I am not worthy yet of platinum.

Quote:
"Hi Jill,

Thanks for sending in your quality original articles!

Hopefully by now or very soon you will begin to see the impact that an
account with EzineArticles.com can create for you and your organization.

Your account has been upgraded to our "BASIC PLUS" level and this adds 25
article submission credits to your account immediately.

This level of membership is between BASIC and PLATINUM UNLIMITED and is
awarded when we believe your articles are "Good" or "Great" enough to
warrant allowing more submissions, but some small thing must be missing
that stopped us from upgrading your account to Platinum Unlimited status.
This is why I use video.

On a more serious note, I do believe I know what it is they want and I think it has to do more with my signature file there. I did it right the first time because I actually got expert status on my first article there.

So now I have to put in a bunch more and they need to kick butt and go by the book.

So don't feel bad. Like I was saying, get just ONE right and you will know what you should be doing. And don't be deleting articles when they tell you to just edit them. Just do the edit. If what you were promoting was crap, you could have found a different program to drop in or just removed the links to get approved.

I've never been suspended so I'm not quite sure what you mean by that.

I have had articles rejected however and I usually make a few changes and get approved the next time round.

Not sure if they're more fussy these days but different reviewers have different standards, what might be ok with one gets rejected by another.

There's no consistency between them and often leaves you frustrated.

My advice is to not give up, keep going until you crack it and if you're left wondering why you keep getting rejected then ask for specific clarification.

Look at the words you're using man... ALL NEGATIVE...

You may not want to hear it but...

I think a lot of it is to do with what you EXPECT of yourself... and the language you are feeding yourself (at least subconsciously)

Here's what I suggest you do:

1. CHEER UP, get positive, talk yourself up man!

2. Read Think and Grow Rich

3. Start KICKING ASS

Good luck man... keep going! you WILL make it

Right said, Edmund. keep trying at it, one day you may reach your goal. It sure is tough to do internet marketing for it involves analyzing the collective psyches of people who are your likely buyers.

Ed - there is a WSO you might want to pick up... I can't remember the title exactly but it had to to with "Hypnotizing your way to IM success".

I got it and listened to it several times and sat down and created and sold 3 products within a month.

Was it because of the MP3? Who knows? But it is full of positive reinforcement and that is something you might need - especially right now.

EZA can be fickle sometimes. If you've gotten suspended 3 times then you must be doing something wrong. Are your articles too promotional? Do you try to link to websites that are mostly just sales pages with little added value? As a basic member, EZA is extra strict. I got suspended when I first started using them because I was submitting to other sites first before them under an obviously similar but different pen name. There are also things they'll get onto you for that aren't in their TOS.

I'm not exactly sure how you write your articles, but if you're trying to promote a product, you should probably write articles on features of that product instead of referencing that product directly, at least while you're still at Basic Membership level. They're a lot more lenient once you make Platinum.

Are you a good writer? If you are, you can fix the articles and learn what eZines is looking for. Writing good articles is not easy, and eZines can make you absolutely crazy sometimes with their pickiness, but if article marketing is something you definitely want to do, then don't delete, figure out what they're trying to tell you and fix it. If you're not a good writer, then learn another way of generating traffic and forget article marketing. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses, and it sounds like writing may not be something you enjoy. I know all the books push getting free traffic from articles, but if you hate it or are not good at it, then ignore the books and do something else.

Hi Ed,

It's probably something that can be fixed. If you like, I'll be glad to take a look at a couple of the articles that EZA seemed to have a problem with. Maybe I can figure out what the trouble seems to be.

Unless it's some kind of plagiarism situation and/or rewritten (esp. badly rewritten) PLR. That's not something they'll tolerate.

Let me know. PM is fine.

Also, if they suspended you -- did they give you a reason???

My experience has been that it helps to be friendly and non-confrontational when negotiating things with them. They usually ARE reasonable and helpful over there. In a worst case scenario, you can also go to their forum and try to get one of the "angels" to help you.

And yes, like ofthemix said, once you've made it to Platinum, they'll still turn your articles down if you goof, but they won't take the platinum status away (at least not if the problem is minor and you deliver lots of quality articles in the meantime).

Just today, I had an article shot down because one of the links led to a website that "didn't have enough information" on it. Well, duh! I mistakenly had sent them the wrong link -- there was nothing there. I forgot to add the extension to where the actual site is located. So I fixed the article by putting the correct link and the article is published now.

And dude, you've only been doing this for three months -- cut yourself a little slack. You're teaching yourself to do something that's hard. If it was easy, everybody would be making money online. EVERYONE screws up (a lot) when they're starting out, the trick is to figure out what you did wrong and do it better the next time. It gets easier, and you'll get better. Hang in there!
