Im curious as to finding a script that prompts you with a dialog box when you try to exit a page? A pop up text box allowing the browser the option of staying on the page. Is anyone familiar with these or know where I could find the script? Thanks, -Safe Travels! |

Try checking out - Dynamic Drive DHTML(dynamic html) & JavaScript code library - JavaScript Kit- Your comprehensive JavaScript, DHTML, CSS, and Ajax stop - Hot Scripts - The net's largest PHP, CGI, Perl, JavaScript and ASP script collection and resource web portal. You may have to modify the javascript so that it is triggered by either 'onmouseout' or 'onunload' but that really isnt that hard to do. |

Hey there, There are many ways to do this but there are also things that need to be considered. Do you want it to show everytime, once a day, once per visit. What if they click an internal link ... don't think you want it showing then do you? Sorry I'm not answering your question directly ... i'll do that in a sec ... just thought you might want to consider a few other points. Try googling "exit popup" ... you'll get many links that address the various points and how to handle them. Now ... to address your question ... here ya' go: How to stop browser from closing using Javascript? - Dev Articles Another possibility ... Resolved Leaving Window Warning - Dynamic Drive Forums |
