Do you think it would be better to write a ton of articles, submit to the top 10 directories, and have them all link to domains that just re-direct to the affiliate product, or to write a presell page? I ask because my presell page currently sucks, and I don't really have the skills at this time to write a good one, or the money to outsource, so I figured I would just re-direct. How many sales do you think I'll gain or lose using this method? Any suggestions to convert as many readers as possible would be welcome... thank you. |

Article -> Opt-in (freebie may be required but can link into next step which is) -> Pre-sell -> Merchant Don't give the traffic directly to the merchant. In my opinion, this is one of the biggest mistakes you can make as an affiliate! Peace Jay |

I have also done pretty well with just article --> pre-sell --> merchant page The opt-in page is good to have but requires a little bit more work, but worth it in the long run. | |

In your initial article submitted to the directory you are not permitted to "sell" it is more informational. If the reader clicks the link to your website you can provide more information, and change the tone subtly to "recommend" a specific product, even after a "review" of other products. Your site contains an article with a specific recommendation. I don't like to over hype just advise. So "pre-selling" is not really that much extra work, all a pre-sell is: is another article located on your site with a specific recommendation for a product. So you have to write two articles, one for the article directory and one for your site. |

Am pretty new in internet marketing but I want to know whether pre-sell works well with Pay-per-click. Has anyone done it?

I'm a new affiliate, but from all the advice I've gotten you definitely want to make a landing page and presell. You can presell with a review site or blog-style format. It takes longer, but the advantage is that you can custom-make landing pages based on the articles you write. It's a good transition to the sales page, and gives you more control over the conversions. Plus you can have an opt-in box to capture e-mails and do upsells, which is where most of the profit is anyway. |
