Default How many of your customers fall for this lie?

It amazes me how many marketers will wait a day after their initial promotion to send out some variation of this:

"With the system I showed you yesterday... there's people supposedly ..." blah blah about how much money everyone is making already.

Then cut to this...

"Unfortunately, I absolutely HATE it when this happens and it happened at the worst moment."

"Our server itself had a REAL "traffic overload" over the past 24 hours and I received over 231 emails from angry people saying they couldn't access anything! Logs were even shut out " ...

And of course...

"I seriously felt so bad about how many people had tried but missed
this incredible opportunity. I was scrambling and even contacted
my server company personally to get things resolved." ....

So --

"I also spoke to a XXX about about the issue and we agreed to
keep the price down ONLY for another little while so you can
get a license without it shutting you out."

Phew! What a relief -- a second chance!!

Come on guys, let's find a new follow-up story. Keep lying to your prospects and they'll never become customers.

Good Idea Lisa,

How about,

"I failed to convince you to buy the first time so I'm giving myself a second chance."

"Surely you simply forgot go buy this so I'm reminding you."

"If you would like to stop receiving reminders about this why don't you buy."

"Look ??first name?? I'm going to get you sooner or later, let's make it sooner."

Maybe?

I know. These lies are so transparent. I saw right through them even when I was just a little newbie.

I don't know why folk have to resort to this.

Hey until you have had so much traffic that you have crashed your server ... hold off on the judgments.

This has happened to me on every product I have ever launched .

I am sorry to take offense but ...

Troy ....Troy ... wake up . You have fell asleep at the computer again

Had you going ... didn't I

There probably have been instances of this happening . Someone originally may have been serious about the offer .

With as many server crashes as there are being reported to my email.... This just might be a fib:-)

You know George, your probably right on.

If I actually got an email that was "straight up" I would be shocked into submission.

Wonder how long it will take for someone to try it. I would love to hear the results.

Oh look. Different company; same bad luck:

We messed up
We messed up, that says it all. Unfortunately our servers went down last night and you didn't get our 2nd Chance Columbus Day Deals. We are sorry. So as a means of retribution we are offering you our famous 3-for-1s, 4-for-1s and 5-for-1s. And again, please accept our apologies.
