I ran a split-test using Google's Optimizer. I tested two landing pages: index.html and index2.html After discovering the winner I stopped the test and deleted index2.html But now I realize that people who have a cookie for index2 will get a 404 error if they try to return to my site. What is the usual way to handle this situation? Google provides no post-testing instructions. Should I redirect the deleted page back to index.html? If you do a lot of testing this could become a real hassle. |

That's what I would do is just redirect back. that will save you some time. and yes it is a real hassle. im going through the same with my site right now.google seems to list all the pages I don't want listed.and don't list the ones I do want listed.Google seems to be the big headache for me right now.
