Recently my business, a marketing and design agency, when into liquidation as a result of the recession here in the UK.

I am looking to IM to take the next step in my career.

I have no list, no partners, and very little cash to invest as a result of the business going pop.

I'm not in it to make tonnes of cash, if that is a bi-product then great, I'm in it to provide real value to my subscribers from the lessons I have learned about running a business, and sharing in the highs and lows of success and failure.

Do people think that there is enough of a niche to market this... essentially becoming the best small business in the world... ever - eBook almost done.

Be interesting to hear your feedback on this.

Have you done your market research? That would be the only way to know if there is enough of a niche market.

Thanks Steve, my research is the general rule of thumb knowing that over 80% of small businesses fail in the first 3 years of business, but the niche of a designer, marketeer or agency is that there are two or three failing each day across the world - according to PR week.

    Hi AntH,

    1.- Welcome to the warriorforum
    2. - I must need new glasses - I read the post title as "Tips for an IM Boob! Maybe more caffeine would help me.
    3. - Yes there is a market. Look at all the business books out there. And if you can zero on into a specific type of business, so much the better.

Mid 1980s I was failing. That is when I took massive steps to learn more about business. I wrote the first version of the ebook that is in my signature in 1994 and kept updating it every few years as I learned more. I now have other versions of that book for a couple different industries.

    Hi,

I think though your company is no longer there,
you have an asset which is in you.

    Your knowledge.

    Your experience.

    Your style.

You are expert in your industry and you
    know best.

So what does your niche needs?

Can a blog or any online platform
be a base for you to share and position
    yourself as the online expert
    for your niche?

    My two cents,
    John
