Is there a writer you'd recommend who can craft press releases so well that they have a good chance of actually being published in newspapers?

Press releases are not normally published in newspapers, and that isn't their intended purpose. They're intended to give factual information to journalists/staffers at newspapers in the hope that someone will include a mention of their content next time anything related is published, or even (occasionally) write a paragraph or two specially as a "news" item in the paper. But they're not quoted in their entirety in print media.

Kate is your go to gal for this.
I used her for one recently, and it was picked up by two news stations, and a newspaper, ALL FOR FEATURES. She crafts it perfectly so that they wanna pick up the phone to call you, so that you get the feature story, and extra attention that you are writing a press release for. And if you have any questions or concerns she is great. I had never dealt with media attention before and she helped me know what to say, ways to direct the conversation etc. A+ and beyond in my books for sure. Her WF username is K F Sylvia P.S Plus she's a fellow Canadian, and she actually resides close to you, over in Victoria. |
