Can someone help me figure out my rank for certain keywords?

I am trying to find out how my site ranks for my keywords.
I have tried using the top 5 or 6 site on google.
None of them have helped at all

One said I was ranked 37 when I didn't put www. and it said I ranked 00 when I used www.

Does anyone know why I haven't got any results? or where I might be going wrong?

    What tools you use? so we can give our opinions about your problem,

    Maybe your tools go crazy and need to reinstall, just make sure everything is okay, check your setting, and also use different tools for comparison purpose

      I just searched on google for 'check site rank' and used the top 5 sites. None of them were useful.

      I just searched through google manually and found that my site is on page 24-page 1 would be better!

        steven, You must work harder for your site,

        so the point is your site is not in 5 top sites

        Page 1 is awesome, therefore need hard work to achieve it..

          You can use Market Samurai to track your keywords for a given website on Google, Yahoo and Bing.

          Also the number of backlinks and the quality of those backlinks(Pr0-Pr10)

          To get on page 1 for a highly competitive keyword is nearly impossible.

          Will be a lot of work to even get in the top 10.

    Check out WebCEO (I have no affiliation - I just use it) it gives me great feedback on current page ranking for given keywords (and can show me the history of my searches for tracking trends) - and being a Yorkshireman, I like the price - its free!
