Yes! Infusionsoft dropped it's set-up fees! Now any small business, IMer can get access to this system. I've been using it since November of last year and recommend it highly. It's not perfect, no system is. But, they sure are working hard to make it as perfect as possible. I am a huge believer that an effective drip marketing program is so much more than just an email autoresponder. This is what differentiates Infusionsoft from the rest. Their system assists you in automating all aspects of your marketing campaigns, not just your emails. My recommendation is to take advantage of the free trial offer they're running now.

I am an Infusionsoft Certified Consultant (ICC) and have a lot of time and experience with the app. I work with elite marketers and very large lists and have looked at this specific metric.

This function is solely because of infusionsofts high level of security and compliance with CAN-SPAM and PCI.

This has not been an issue with anyone I have worked with and I have only heard of it from the devoted "spam team" when people are really spamming people.

The team is very knowledgeable about daily spam compliance updates and work very closely with clients to identify the problem if there is one, and solve it so they don't encounter it in the future.

I am one of the VERY FEW ICC's that is also a full time IMer, so I know how to fully leverage the power of the software and implementing marketing strategies and automating as much functionality as possible for you ;-)

I hope this helps out, and if you have more questions feel free to contact me!

As you have a lot of experience with Infusionsoft, maybe you can answer a concern I have...

How good is it at email delivery compared to AWeber? I know about it's powerful tagging features and shopping cart integration and all of that, but I'm concerned that if all of that is "secondary" to my primary concern of AWeber type features that I may just be locking myself into a big monthly for a poor list management software.

We all know it's a major issue to "swap" from one to the other without losing 80% of your list. So I feel like I'm between a rock and a hard place. Go with Aweber and face expansion "issues" in a few months (I already need shopping cart, digital downloads and other features) or go with Infusionsoft and get poor email delivery...

Why not go with iContact, Analytic Approach, Office Auto Pilot or Mail Chimp?

Our own ecommerce service is fully integrated with those and more through API with no double optin required on import.

Of course you still need to make sure your list is clean so your complaints are low but the same goes with Aweber...

In fact we helped one company migrate a continuity program of nearly 2000 paying subscribers from Infusionsoft to our platform because infusionsoft banned them from using their CRM because their buyers generated too many spam complaints (that's right their buyers). As you can imagine no one wants to migrate but even though they had built their business in infusion they were forced out since infusion shut them off from their CRM.

They now use our ecommerce platform and Office Auto Pilot via our API integration and are quite happy.

Just remember to check out the other CRM and email providers out there... there are many with better delivery rates, and even better features that almost never get a mention in the IM world but are secretly becoming the favorites of top gurus with big lists. They don't say much about it publicly because its not in their interest to spoil a good thing when they find a good home for their huge lists.

Free your self up... use an ecommerce service provider that allows you to also select from any number or integrated email list management services so that you can have the best of both worlds.

So far from what I have seen if you go with an ecommerce service that also provides autoresponders you are sacrificing on the quality of your email crm in one area or another (generally delivery) because they are not 100% focused on that aspect of the business... then when you settle for a CRM that also throws in a shoppingcart you suffer on the ecommerce side because that is not their primary focus...

Even if you use infusion I would recommend only using it for the CRM and I would recommend using whatever ecommerce service you choose only for the ecommerce service.

I have not seen any that can provide both sides of that equation well. That is why I personally did not even attempt it... my philosophy is to integrate via API with the best CRM so our clients can use them but yet depend on us for superb ecommerce automation.

I unsubscribed from a newsletter powered by Infusionsoft and after I unsubscribed, it then asked me if I wanted to report the e-mail as spam. It was a pop-up box that asked the question and there were two big buttons: one that said "yes" and one that said "no".

I would think this makes it way too easy for unsubscribes to report an opt-in e-mail as spam.

If you use Infusionsoft (or know someone who does) and you (they) used to use Aweber, Getresponse, Constant Contact or some other autoresponder have you noticed any increase / decrease in spam complaints? Or is it pretty much the same?

I realize it's not an apples to apples comparison, but my focus here is to try and see if people have noticed any change in spam complaints when they switched to Infusionsoft.

Thank you in advance.

To me, this is one of the most honest reviews I've read on the product. It was tested, and while there were some good things -- there were also other things that outweighed the good to Ryan Moran, who is generally honest about everything he reviews.
