Normally it's good practice to pay a certain amount up front, but you don't really need to pay a full month. You could try for a day or two. You will find that only about 10% of the VA's you will try will actually work out, so you're going to need to try them out first, and it's not really fair to ask them to work for nothing first. Ask them to do trial writing/work for you and check that it's good quality & they can actually understand what you are saying. BTW - I would strongly suggest that you really work out exactly what needs to be done - otherwise it can go wrong. Are you looking for writing, article submission, phone/email answering or exactly what? What sort of personality of person are you looking to work with. Also - you will find that the rates vary a lot depending on how much training you are looking to put it & the existing skill set. That all said, I've actually got a couple of spare VAs at the moment (I'm English, but in the Philippines with a small outsourcing center). If you want to try one of them out free for a few days, drop me a PM or skype me (james_pitt). |

That depends on how you work out your deal with them. Most probably require weekly payment or an advance payment before starting to work for you full time on monthly remuneration basis.

I have outsourced writing and linkbuilding tasks to my VAs. I usually don't pay them upfront. I pay my writers when they have completed their assignments. For linkbuilding, I pay them weekly.

It really depends on the person you pick. I have seen some only work if payment is made in full before the project and others will accept payment when the project is complete. There are also other that may ask for a percentage up front and then the rest when the project is finished. -John |
