Hi, I am creating a website and am trying to find a web graphics artist for my websites. The catch is, I'd like the artist to use Gimp and teach me how they make the graphics (through a written or video tutorial). This way, I can become competent at creating my own graphics while getting the expert to create my initial graphics. Do you have any idea where I may be able to find someone like this? I tried elance, but I haven't been impressed by the quality of the bids. |

I don't know if you'll find someone who create graphics to teach you online also unless they have a course. But you can do a search online for gimp video tutorials on google and you should find them. I have seen at least one gimp video tutorial out there. As far as finding someone to do the graphics for you you can go to the warriors for hire section and find someone. The guy who did my graphics is Semmy and here is his link: New Page 1 He did the Twitter graphics from the site below in my sig. Mike |

Look at DeviantArt.com for art that you like and then contact the artists whos artwork you like and offer them something for a logo design, and to teach you how to do what they do. DeviantArt is probably the most popular artist social network on the internet, I've had some nice logos designed by users I've hired off there.

Mike, Thanks you for the links. I will check them out to learn a bit about creating graphics myself. Harrison, Good idea. These seem to be quality artists. Some nice logos there as well. Based on your experience, how much do you believe a quality logo would cost? Random question to both of you -- how do you "thank" someone else on these boards? Thanks, Mike |

I've been very happy with fellow Warrior logonerds. They've ran several WSO so feel free to look them up. I've also had gotlogos.com do many logos as well and they've done a great job for me too. YMMV but I've been pleased with both their efforts. best, --Jack |
