Pay Per Post Wordpress Membership Plugins

I'm looking for a pay-per-post type Wordpress plugin.

I want to hide the entire post, not just whatever is after the 'more' page break.

And when a user clicks on the post title, I need them to be taken to a login/purchase button page for THAT particular post. Preferrably with some teaser copy and an image I've added in a custom field in the post. On that page, they can either login, if they have already paid for that post, or click the buy now button if they haven't bought yet.

I have WishList, but from what I can see, there's no way to do this with that plugin. You have to take them to the post to read a teaser before the 'more' break. But I want to hide the entire post...if I do this under WishList, they just go to the generic error page if they're not logged in under that member level.

Do you know of any membership plugins that will do what I'm asking above?

I am little confused. So you want a membership/paid site type of plugin, but instead of your users paying and getting access to the whole site they have to pay to see each individual post?

    Yes, that's right.

There are a number of plugins out there that will do just that. I have one already...WishList...but it doesn't do quite what I need.

I need to hide the full post if the person clicking the post link isn't logged in and registered for that particular post. (WishList will do this part.)

And then, when they click the post link (say, from the home page or archives, categories, whatever...) it takes them to a registration page for THAT particular product. WhisList just takes them to a generic error page.

I'm checking some out right now, but if you know of any that do this, I'd appreciate it.

    Michael,

I believe I may have found what you are looking for:

EasyPayPal WordPress Plugin | Shannon Whitley

I was looking for a simple integration of PayPal into my blog and this appears to do what you are wanting as well.

    Good luck!

Saw that before...not robust enough of a solution for what I want to do. Also, doesn't even look like it does what I asked in my original post. I needed something that will take a user to a registration page for a particular product if they try to access that product.

I did something of a work-around, though, with WishList. (Which is a nearly perfect plugin.)

Instead of displaying the paid content on the home page, I'm excluding those from the post lists. In their place, I'm posting something like a movie trailer...a teaser post...that has ad copy and a paypal button so they can buy. After they buy, they're taken to the real content.

    Sounds like a neat idea.

I think it'd require a new fuction to replace 'the_content' in single.php or a page template with an admin for each post/page in a plugin. Is it worth developing a new plugin?

I know that there are online magazines and newspapers that do this but I can't recall which ones off the top of my head.

If you find one of those sites you can send an email to them and ask what they are using.

YourMember does this. You can hide as much of the post as you want with tags.

I'm not sure about the flow though...you can see it in action at Joomla Tutorials & Online Training

I think S2member could do this. Using custom capabilities pages and buttons.
** Edit - you can but it would work slightly different. You can use the free S2member script so no cost to try it.

Just create the download page with a custom capability and link it in the free members area. If they have access (already paid) it will let them in.

Also put a buy now button bedide it to purchase the product if not already purchased.

Accomplishes the same thing but they only have to register to your site once as a free or paid member.
