Like... what is the meaning of life? Or... why was I born? Or... why do good things happen to bad people? JUST KIDDING!!! ![]() Hope someone got a grin out of that... But I really do have some questions (with real answers!), and this is the marketing forum where the "Best of The Best" come, so I thought this would be a good place to ask some questions. I am at the "What do I do now" stage, and I am considering my abilities in relation to what I can do to make some money. Everything I've read and seen tells me that one of the best ways to make money is through affiliate marketing. But at the same time... I'm a writer. In fact, I think I'm a GOOD writer. I know, writers are a-dime-a-dozen right now, just like musicians (which I also happen to be), so I know the competition is going to be fierce if I try to market my skills as a writer. So getting a bit more specific, I've been told by some experienced marketers that I could have a future as a copywriter. So my first question for all of you is, is there a good market for good copywriters, or is everyone pretty much doing that themselves? My second question is, can someone recommend a good course, or mentor, some way to learn the in's and out's of the business? I can pay a little, but not much, if the course is worth it. And I am certainly not afraid of work! Thanks so much for reading - I look forward to your answers! ![]() Blessings, Gene. |

Hi Gene, First of all, welcome to the Warrior Forum! ![]() There's always a demand for good writers. And, good writers are not a dime a dozen... Not in my experience anyway! Copywriting can be very lucrative once you have built up a solid reputation but most of the courses I have seen are quite expensive. Let me think about it and I'll send you a pm. All the best, Francois |

Gene - welcome! Most of my online business is writing articles for internet marketers, so I'm living proof that it can be done ![]() The Warrior Forum has a writer's group that you could check out to get a feel for what some people are doing. You can also post ads on the classified section or run a "just getting started" WSO to start building a client base. You can also reply to requests for bids at Guru, eLance or any of the other freelancer sites. Most of your business will come from word of mouth, so get yourself out there and start talking to people! |

Thanks to all for the warm welcome and the good advice. And by the way, kenj, I did get a chuckle out of your signature! It catches attention and makes one think, too. I've already joined the writer's group, and will be working on implementing the other advice given. Thanks again, everyone! Blessings, Gene. |

Everyone knows that the answer to life, the universe, and everything is '42'. Yes, you can make mounds of cash just by being a good writer. You've got sites like Associated Content that will pay you for articles. You could also go on to write press releases and the like which cost a pretty penny. |

Hi Gene, Along with "copywriter", "ghostwriter" is a good keyword for writers to use in the IM niche. If you do a search on those terms here in the forum, you'll get an idea of who's doing what, how much they're charging and who's looking for their services. There is a market for good writers...it's just a bit under the radar on some days. ![]() Audre |

Hey, that's something I can do! Thanks again to all for your advice and encouragement. I'll be picking this thread apart for days to come! Blessings, Gene. |

Welcome to the forum. Definitely there is a market. Look at the amount of articles, blog posts written by freelancers nowadays. You can also visit Custom Web Design and Programming. Freelance Programmers. Outsource Web Development Outsourcing where I found my team of writers who have been writing for me for the past few years and are still getting business from me. Cheers, John | |

Videos are the new wave of marketing. So they say, but the writen and spoken word still seal the deal. You will find all the work you can handle I would imagine. Really good writers are really hard to find.
