Hello...when I put my Photo Story videos on YouTube "someone" at YouTube decides which Frame should be showing on the Thumbnail, which is the Frame people click on. Here recently, they've been choosing Frames that I don't think provide a "reason to click". Does anyone know how to change the Frame that is on the Thumbnail? Thank you, Midas Man |

No one picks them. Three frames are automatically selected. You can choose from among those three, but that's it. It seems to pick one frame from close to the beginning, one from around the middle and one from towards the end. There's no way to pick outside of that selection. |

The last time I logged onto my videos section on Youtube, I was given 3 options of which thumbnail I wanted to choose. This option should be available in the "Edit" section of a video. |

I believe that one still is taken exactly at the middle. I know it may seem odd but you can throw one second of a picture directly into the middle and you'll be able to use that as the thumbnail. That's about the best you can do.

If you use Tube Mogul to upload your video to YouTube, they give you more frames to choose from around 10-15. GL |

Youtube chooses the thumbnail for you but I guess they are trying to do something about it since lots of users wants to have their own thumbnail. |

The easiest way to have the thumbnail of your choice is to insert a 0.5 second photo of your frame in to the exact middle of your video using your video editing software. It can be a little hit and miss and using a 1 second photo will make it easier but annoy your viewers. If you become a youtube partner you can just upload a photo as the thumbnail. |
