Hi Guys, I've decided I want to try my hand at flipping domains but want to ask a few questions first. Is the basic idea to find a domain, purchase it for $6 or similar, then put it on Sedo or equivalent and hope someone pays you a lot more for it? Should I purchase the domains for more than 1 year or does it not matter? Any other tips would be great ![]() Cheers |

100% correct the money is in adding value to the site, it's far to easy to get a domain name that is just as useful as one that it being sold at a premium. | |

Hi, Expanding on your "method" (the op) Buy the domain. Sell it locally with a simple website. I.E. ..... I see you live in Watford. Buy the domain TheBestFloristInWatford.com or WatfordsBestFlorist.com etc. Now send an offer to all the Florists in Watford. That's it. Of course you don't have to limit yourself to your location. With the Internet you can sell TheBestFloristInDetroit.com George Wright |

Thanks for the tips guys. I had planned on going for some quite generic 2 word domains, but will probably change this now. Thanks again |
