I am busy researching for a new product on free ways to get traffic and I am testing all waters. I have read that you can really get great free traffic from Yahoo Groups, but some people tell me this is not the case anymore in recent times. For those of you that don't know Yahoo groups are groups that you can join from Yahoo, if you have an email address with them, with members from 100 up to 100000. You can quickly join 10 or so groups in your niche and post to them. THen all members will get these emails and click on your links. Unfortunaty, I don't know how much traffic I am generating for this yet, as I just started to try this and the mails don't contain clickable links, so I cant track them properly. Does anyone have any experience of Yahoo Groups that you can share with us? Are they still worthwhile to use as a source of targeted free traffic. P.S. I saw you get software where you can mass submit one email to all your Yahoo groups. This is supposed to work well, but I haven't tried it yet. |

I've never tried the software but I've done it manually before. With some campaigns I would get a reasonable amount of traffic, but with others I would get almost NONE. I guess it depends on the niche that you're in and the groups that you are joining. Sometimes you strike gold into a HUGE group that allows you to post and send an email to all - but it's rare. All in all - it works, but I consider it a step behind other methods. |

Thanks for the advice. How is it for the internet marketing niche?
