Well, you only need a laptop and a web connection.

And in her case...i'd opt for an air conditioner as well. Kenya is damn hot LOL.

Netbooks with their 3g connections make it possible to work anywhere now. I gotta me one of those.

Really all you need is a cell phone. You can even post pictures and text to your blog via cell.

Yes they can. The Tilt can and Verizons version of the Tilt. I forget it's name right now.

However, to "run" your business you don't need ftp. You can set the whole thing up from a PC then "run" it via cell. But, yes you can ftp from certain cell phones. And (I don't work for verizon LOL) Verizons new myfi lets you work from anywhere. To quote their ad, "You are the hot spot."

Most phones are 3G enabled now which means you don't even need a 3G card. You just need the phone and then you connect it to a pc.

But heck, working from a phone can be a pain. Those small keypads you know.
But I guess if you go on a trip where a phone is the most convenient option, then it wouldn't hurt getting one that can do it all.

I wonder if the latest Google phone can do most of the stuff.

When it comes to computing, I prefer this to cell phone:

Small enough for the purse with Windows Vista and weighs 1.2 pounds. 5 inch screen and webcam. Does bluetooth for cordless keyboard if the thumb keys are not enough.
