Phone/Mic Audio Recording Companies?

I read somewhere, not too long ago, about a company that allowed you to record spots for your web pages using either your phone, or a mic via your computer.

Anyone have a clue as to who it might be? Can't find the info anywhere, so I probably failed to bookmark it.

If you are looking to do an audio for your site, why not just use a free audio program that you can easily find on Download.com? I usually use camtasia which I believe still has a free trial but there are plenty out there that are totally free.

Hi Pete,

You can do this with Google Voice. The recordings are excellent, studio quality.

If you don't have google voice, it only takes a few days to get an invite now.

A decent USB or other mic and a free program like Audacity is all you need.

Thanks for the suggestions. Should have added that I'm on dialup, and even trying to upload the briefest of recordings takes a TON of time. And, it doesn't always hold
together well.
