Why is "Elmer Hurlstone" in YOUR Sig File?

These are the direct quotations of the beginning of the first line in the signatures of three separate Warriors.

At first I suspected clairvoyance but soon discovered that was not the case.

I checked on a couple threads without signing in and determined my name had been changed to "unregistered". I started looking for INS and black helicopters.

Initially it was effective; it caught my attention. Not all sigs do.

Not sure if it has legs. If "everybody knows my name" I might as well go to Cheers and have a beer with Norm and Cliff.

So—how is this done? Inquiring minds want to know.

It caught my attention the first couple of times, but now I am just going to ignore it because both of them were something I had absolutely no interest in.

It's the "you" tag that Allen turned on a while back. At first it was overused and put in every WSO title so it was turned back off for a while then turned back on.

Hey, Elmer... I just asked that question in another thread.

The response I received was to insert [ YOU ] (without the spaces)
in the sig code. I right clicked to view the page source code but
didn't see that.

Let me try it on my sig... you tell me if you see your name!

Elmer it's the old [ YOU ] code that was removed from the forum threads
and posts but still works in sig files.

Personally, I'm immune to it.

I was wondering why I could still it in peoples signatures but not in the WSO section.

It's kinda funny, there were a whole bunch of posts with people asking why their names were in people's sigs, with the reply from the next poster stating something along the lines of "no, you mean MY name is", classic.
