Hey warriors I just got an email stating that in 2006 people sued Yahoo for screwing up their ads on their Yahoo Publisher Network accounts. There is nothing really big here, If I read it right, they are offering a $20 refund and free ad space on there *New and improved Ad network. If you want more info on it, the litigation settlement website is here:

http://www.inreyahoosettlement.com

I don't think I'm going to raise my hand, I never liked there ad service nor do I want to waste all that time for $20s.

It's 'It's', not 'Its.' And your period should have been inside the ending quote.

I'm an English nazi too, but come on... if you're going to correct, at least give a little value to the point he was trying to make.

Yahoo was on top, now it's Google... can they really afford to lose anymore?

I got the email about the class action lawsuit too. I'm not participating. Don't want my name to pop up on legal documents just because I participated.

I got the email too, and I don't want to participate. But do we have to fill out a form to say we don't want to have anything to do with it? Looks like it below ...

"You may exclude yourself from the Class by following the instructions below. If you exclude yourself from the Class, you will not be eligible to receive a Refund and will not be considered to have released any claims against Yahoo! under the Settlement. You will be bound by all determinations and judgments in this Action concerning the Settlement, whether favorable or unfavorable, unless you submit a request for exclusion on or before December 14, 2009"

this is from the email they sent today:

"This class action was brought in 2006 by several Yahoo! pay-per-click search advertising customers. They allege that customers contracted for targeted ad placements through two products, "Sponsored Search" and "Content Match" (and predecessor products provided by Overture Services, Inc. and GoTo.com, Inc.) and that Yahoo! breached its contract with its customers by allowing Yahoo! ads to be displayed in spyware, domain name parking sites (also known as bulk registration sites), pop-ups, pop-unders, and typosquatting sites. Plaintiffs brought claims for breach of contract, unjust enrichment, misrepresentation, civil conspiracy, and unfair business practices"
