This could be a real time saver.

Would it be possible to have a special forum button for use
in the Free Ebooks section so that members (in particular
those with just a few posts) can hit that button and it
posts a response in the thread saying

"Thanks for sharing"

    Good idea Harvey,

But it would be better to have setting in our user CP section that allowed us to set it up to post 'Thanks for sharing' in every thread automatically. Imagine the time that would save us all!

    Harvey,

    Why stop there?

To make it a real Time Saver We could have it set up so that it Drip Feeds
the posts at random intervals. It could be fully automated.

This way no one would ever have to post in the forum again!

      No, no.

This is an exclusive button for new members with just a few posts.

We need to ease their way into the forum. Can't have them
straining to write any comments about a book so the least we
can do is simplify the 'Thanks for sharing' response.

Pardon me for gate crashing my own thread but I see the need
for another button called "Get Over It".

This forum has no place for people in desperate need
for help so it will speed up replies like this

"So - your site's been hacked and you've lost ten years of work.
            Stop moaning, get over it".

"A WSO fraudster has run off with your $10,000 ?
There's nothing you can do. Get over it."

Worst possible idea I've seen from you yet, Harvey.

              No sarcasm intended.

The amount of useful and creative stuff people put into those threads is incredible.

Just cuz you are warm and cozy and aren't in need of help in any way, not even moral support -- don't deprive it from those of us who do, and who find those occasional words of support helpful beyond belief.

I'll be one of the first people out there to apply tough love. (I regularly give it out, LOL. Just look at my thread about passwords. Or my links in Allen's War Room copywriting contest.) But some people just need to know that someone cares -- and, like I say, these threads actually become great resources -- for instance -- there's some helpful advice in this thread:

              http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ake-money.html

What's more annoying to me are the threads that call everyone who isn't successful, or isn't as successful as they are, "losers" and "lazy" and etc. Painting a group of people with such a broad brush simply isn't useful, both in my opinion, and in my experience. (I spent some time working with homeless people in the past. And have been around a lot of needy people, as well. Heck, I've even been among the needy at various times. S*** happens.)

              Live JoyFully!

I challenge anyone to find one thread such as Harvey is talking about where there is ANYTHING useful involved.

It's crap, pure and simple...some by people who don't know any better and some probably bots. Don't think it matters in the section Harvey mentioned as posts there don't count, do they?

As for the "I need money fast" threads. They are regular features and get the same replies time after time. They may be helpful to new members but have you ever seen someone come back and say "I took your advice and it saved my financial butt"?

That's because all of the well intended posts about "fast money" come down to two things:

                  1. understanding what needs to be done
                  2. doing it

                  kay

P.S. This is very valuable. Thank you for the share.:p

                    I accept your challenge...

I've learned that it's always good manners to
say thank you when someone shares something
useful and that the people who repeatedly say:
"Thanks for the share" are much more likely to
get banned from the forum than those who use
                    the Thanks button. ;-)

Are you feeling just a little bit embarrassed now Judy? Taking Harvey seriously? Whatever next!

You mean some of these posts are actually from some living breathing thing between a chair and a computer?

I thought most of the one line thanks stuff was coming from a bot!
