I noticed that someone arrived on my blog with a certain keyword: "what does alexa ranking mean" Well, I don't get a lot of organic traffic, so I decided to dig it up. When I searched for me on google for that keyword, I was on page 13! Have you ever searched anything beyond the page 5? lol.. Imagine the agony of not finding your answer in the first 12 pages that you go for the 15th one. ![]() Sumit. |

Hey, This is the mystery of Google search exposed. I get people landing on my sites all day long for keywords that I personally cannot get to see my site ranking for. I think they do their best to not show the same content to everyone, giving more people the opportunity to gain traffic from them. |

I want a good keyword researcher, not for min sites but for tech articles. Hit me up if you've got those skillz!

It depends.. Google has a lot of datacenters, so you may be on page 5 in one datacenter and on page 13 in another. Also, yes I do sometimes dig that much. Hey, don't blame me, we all can be desperate sometimes |

Sure, I'll search back that far sometimes, probably because those darn Internet marketers have the first 10 pages dominated with their sales and 'review' pages. |

some people do, yeah; (as mentioned above). But, at the same time, if you're not reverse engineering their search path in finding you, (beyond just back to Google), then you really don't know the "intent" of the surfer. Don't negate the fact that there is software on the market that will dig deep into the Google (and other SE) SERPs; programs like KWelite and such. Not to mention the fact that Google has released massive APIs... also Custom Search now plays a role, as well. Never assume; gather facts. ![]() PLP, tecHead |
