Default Why Would You Have A Income Disclaimer on Pencil Drawing Guide?

I just read through a Pencil Drawing Guide for Kids and saw an Income Disclaimer. I have seen such Disclaimers in some Health guides as well. Now I know folks are trembling at the new rules of FTC, but isn't this plain stupidity?

Am I missing anything?

They probably used a general disclaimer and didn't modify it.

That's a good way of looking at it.

I think it's just a matter of people copying without understanding the reasons behind the original use of the disclaimer.

I am assuming the guide was not how to make a wad of money selling your pencil drawings.

Yep, like most things if you haven't got the talent, no number of guides can give it to you. They can tell you how to do it, but they can't breathe talent into you.

The pencil could break destroying the hopes of the child's future

They could have bought MRR/PLR rights to the guide from someone who included the disclaimer to show that they might not make any money by selling the pencil guide and that person may have then forgotten to take it out when selling it.

People are afraid..and sometimes it's better safe than sorry. It may look stupid but hey, they didn't made the rules..

But honestly I reviewed an FTC press release and it says there that they won't be focused too much on prosecuting people, there's just plain too many. They said they'll just go for repeat offenders..

But again..it's better safe than sorry.

All the best

Omar
