Default The curse of the 0 second visitors...

Well iv had my site up not for a few months iv had about 200 visitors since August 16th tell today.

Almost every person that has come to the site stays for zero seconds, the majority of my traffic comes from submitting articles from eza, and i'm starting to get some search engine traffic. I'm within the top 10 pages for my keywords and trying to move them to page one.

I think what my problem is, is that I just plain suck at making pre-sell pages, and review pages. No one sticks around on the site long enough. This is not the site in my sig, its different.

I have a site promoting a product from market heath. Any tips or tutorials anyone know of for writing up a good review or pre-sell page? I know I can get the traffic but it just seems like I cant convert it into $$.

no most of the traffic is from EzineArticles about 90% of it, so I dont think they are spiders. Also most of the traffic is from the past 2 weeks from my article writing. about 150 of them are from my articles from the past 2 weeks.

It's not a domain problem, I just was asking for help because my "money page" does not seem to keep visitors reading and buying.

It seems to be my only flaw as of now. Iv learned seo, and traffic generation. Now I just need to learn this one crucial part.

We've had other very similar conversations, in the past. I believe it normally turns out that the monitoring/timing-system isn't functioning properly. Good luck!

It sounds like a 'bot to me as well. I have a particularly annoying one called exabot that would consume bandwidth like crazy and I had to eventually IP ban it when robots.txt didn't keep it out.

What are you using to view stats? I recommend using StatCounter and/or Google Analytics so that you can have a lot of info about your visitors at your fingertips.

What is the "hook" from your headline to bring readers into the copy?

What is the first sentence? What is the second paragraph?

When I've had really poor response it's always been my copy. Even to test 5,000 pieces in direct mail has some cost. At least with the web we have quicker, less costly means of testing. Have you tried rotating several headlines in Adwords as a test? Or have you tested rotating two different home pages?

Hello Matt,

Could you show us your page? Maybe that will help us determine whether it is a conversion problem or a technical problem of some kind. I will gladly give you my 2 cents on it.

Cheers,,
Nelson

EDIT: Ah, I missed that last post there. I will PM you, if you prefer that...

I am not using adwords, as i am not working and I am very broke. I guess its a review type page so my headline just basically says Below are to reviews of two great products... I guess I should work on the headline a bit. The products are also so closely related that the reviews sound almost the same.

Absolutely not...it's notorious for showing 0 second visits.

I'm thinking your stats counter (statcounter.com?) is including requests for "included" files...such as css, js, etc...as other visitors.

I've seen it myself...but only with AWStats...every server request is treated as a new visit. Utterly ridiculous.
