Default Text ad exchange solo ads?

Over the last couple weeks, I've been noticing some stuff about you being able to get promo codes for free solo ads in text ad exchanges. An example would be mywebtrafficrobot dot com

Now I'm no expert in solo ads or text ad exchanges, so I was wondering if anyone knows if I should get promo codes and send free solo ads to these exchanges or should I not waste my time with this?

These are not avenues that I have really explored however when I was actively building Success University on the internet I had many colleagues who used these avenues of promotion very very successfully

I hate seeing people that "x" doesn't work, so I won't tell you that the free solo ads you're asking about don't work.

Since they are free, in any case you won't lose too much money (however, don't forget that for most of the people, time is money ). Everything actually depends on you: only you can value YOUR time and only you know how good YOUR email marketing skills are.

On the other hand, never forget this fact: the people who join this type of programs have one single and major goal: to send THEIR ads. Their goal is NOT to read your ad or something else

There is no doubt that some people read other people's ads, otherwise if no one gets anything, such program would be closed quickly. But you cannot expect too much as long as members' goal is the one mentioned above.

Hey, thanks for the help. I just ran a test and I had over 300 visitors to my squeeze page my first day trying and only 6 people opted in. Therefore, I have to agree with the fact that the reader's main goal is to send their ads. Thanks again for the help

You're welcome.

You got it right: in principle, you cannot expect very good results because the visitors have one single goal: to visit your page for the purpose of getting credits so that to send their ads. It doesn't matter your headline, your text ad, what you offer or something else. They follow their goal and they will visit your page but ... usually most of these visits are only bounces.

Are you kidding me? it's pure mental torture.

I joined a few of these one day. My PC went down after this and it took some days to get it back up. Next time I look into my Gmail inbox.. bam 3,000 odd emails.

They do work, for some niches. I happen to actually OWN one of these. I send solos, text link ads and html ads about my traffic exchange. Seems that a high percentage of the people involved are interested in this.

FACT!! I sent about 8 different ads, a blend of HTML ,text and 1 as of not yet sent solo. I got 3 members in a day! So, people do see this. I have a real offer out these days. And people DO sign up.

Secret is to actually be an OWNER of a text link exchange. Then, in admin area, you can send your own admin ads every day, or less. I don't want to bother my people, so I send these sort of ads either 1 time a day, or even less.
