Default RSS Feeds Question

Hi,

Can anyone explain - in idiot proof terms - about RSS feeds please?

I have read lots but all seem to assume some understanding, I can't find anything that tells the story from start to finish.

They tell you things like 'submit your RSS feed to...' How do I do that?

Thank you

Karen

Hi Karen, I'd repeat what's around... so here are a few of the resources (not mine):

definition:
RSS - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

rss directories to submit to:
TopRank Best List of RSS Blog Directories to Submit Your Blog and Feed - Online Marketing Blog

and what's good about RSS for marketing:

Hope it helps.

Yeah if you google what is an RSS Feed you will find some good information coming up as it will be easier that way rather than me to explain it.

Fellow-Warrior Karen Newton is an RSS guru. She has an RSS-related WSO running here:

But, you will find a free RSS guide in her sig file.

Hi Marian,

Thanks for that - I've actually read the Wiki one - it was as clear as mud to me!

I am hoping that someone can tell me HOW to submit an RSS feed.

Thanks again.

Karen

Take the feed from your blog, like http://xxx.com/feed and submit e.g. at feedage.com

To see my example, go here:

http://nohypeinside.com/feedage.jpg

I took the feed (that's automatically setup with every blog).

Enough clear?

Hi Marian,

Brilliant - I thought that it was more complicated than that! Duh.
