What kind of conversion rate do you get direct linking?

I ask because I bought a few domains and wanted to test out a few products in my niche (acne), so I have been writing ezines and just directing the reader to the merchant. I'm getting plenty of traffic, a consistent 25/30% CTR, and no sales whatsoever in the past month. I feel like something isn't right.

I know preselling generally works better, but you figure with 400 hops I'd get at least one freaking sale. Any suggestions?

PS. If anyone would help me set up a decent presell page, that would be awesome. I am lost when it comes to that as I am relatively new.

Another 50 hops today alone, no sales. I wonder if somehow my sales are getting hijacked if that's possible.

Sending this many targeting customers to a vendor should show something I'd think.

Hey Gcostanza...

Seems to me you are going about this the wrong way - Yes is about numbers, but it's also about building relationships... people like to buy from those they like and trust... it's up to you to build the likability factor into your marketing. You do this buy letting your visitors know who you are... Instead of trying to just sell... Use a little psychology… allow people to buy...

Acne products are not the easiest to sell with article marketing - of all the products I've promoted, acne has been one of the lowest converting (even with a presell). Some products (acne, weight loss etc) are better suited to list marketing.
