Anyone else having a problem with DLG Single Item Purchase and PayPal? The problem just started today (early this morning), DLG and PayPal been working fine together for me since about April and I have not changed anything recently. The payment is going thru OK, but the return to merchant page just keeps saying Verifying Purchase with PayPal, and the customer is not added in my DL Guard software/database or being sent to download page/email. I don’t know if it is something at PayPal or something went “haywire” with DLG on my server, or something else. I have opened a ticket but I think it is the middle of the night for Sam and support. I also posted in the DLG forum but there is a lot more activity here. Thought I would check and see if anyone else is having the same problem. |

These issues will continue until PayPal sorts out their IPN system. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

| I just got off the phone with PayPal. Very difficult to get thru to the correct person there. They know about the problem (IPN as stated above) and are trying to resolve it. No estimate on time frame. I will try to Disable Paypal post-back for now. Thanks for all the feedback - Everyone. |

Same issue here for me ... I'm manually adding customers to DLG right now. I am happy we have this forum to share our issues and fixes.

Same thing happening to me too...customer asked me for download page, after she paid, so i created her manually and sent... Brad, what does that do exactly "Disable PayPal Post Back". Is that something I need to change again when Pay Pal is all fixed up again, or can i leave it that way for good? Hope it fixes soon... Sheila |

Hi guys, Sorry about the Paypal IPN delay - unfortunatly there isn't anything we can do from this end. The "I" in IPN is supposed to stand for "Instant", but as you can see that's not always the case. It always used to be solid, but as Paypal have grown, I think from time to time they're struggling to keep up with the demand (only a guess, of course). They'll fix it hopefully sooner than later, and then your payments will all work again. At the moment I'm not sure what the delay is, but when the IPN does come through, DLGuard will add your customers in. The "Disable Paypal Postback" is a check where when DLGuard recieves the IPN from Paypal, it sends it back to Paypal to be verified. Disabling it means DLGuard will just assume its okay, and not send it back for verification. Since their servers are having issues at the moment, taking that out of the loop probably can help. It's a good idea to turn it on again later, though, because it's an extra secrutity precaution. I'm working on tackling everyone's tickets about this! If you don't mind doing me a favour, if you've got a ticket open, and it's just about the Paypal IPN, if this has answered your questions, would you mind closing the ticket down again? This helps me streamline the time to handle the support desk. Of course if this HASN'T answered your question, then please feel free to leave the ticket open, and I'll get to you shortly! cheers Sam |
