Default Autorun File for Vista?

I sell a lot of CDs, and I've always used the files "autorun" and "echoload.exe" so that they CD would automatically run in the customer's browser once they inserted it. Now with Vista, it does not come with the necessary DLLs to run this program. There is a MicroSoft download to take care of the problem for those with Vista, but I'm wanting something new to put on the CD so that it will autorun whether the end user had XP or Vista and I don't have to ask them to download something.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Barry

It would be best to compile your CD with an OS checker and "feel the system out" to determine what OS they're running and provide an automatic download; (or stealth download -- which is done all the time); of the DLL needed by Vista to run the autorun scenario.

Hope this helps...

Hi Barry,

I use ShellExe by Koen Mannaerts - Whirly Wiry Web, Guide to Neat Net Code - ShellExe launches HTML files from AUTORUN.INF

Cheers.

Here is the auto run script just download it and edit the .exe to what you require. works on all windows P.C then save. Install it to the cd and you should be good to go.
