I would love to hear from you guys/gals, When do you call a promotion ineffective, how many visitors without a sale, before you change your approach. I know that there is no correct answer to this question, because so many factors are critical to the outcome, but lets just say the traffic is very targeted, the product is of high quality, and high in demand. How many page views before you declare the landing/sales page unsuccessful, and rethink your promotion methods. Again, I understand this question is near impossible to answer 100% accurately, but I would really appreciate any and all opinions. PS I'm sorry this post is worded weird, I've been writing all day and I'm actually starting to have a hard time thinking.. LOL |

I have multiple pages, with multiple affiliate links, I don't completely understand your question, Kirahster... ![]() I'm not referencing one specific page, I'm asking the question in general... Are you talking about a specific page? |

In general, I hear people talk about results being statistically valid after about 600-1,000 views. In other words, once 600 people have been to your landing page, you can probably expect the conversion rate to stay right around whatever it is. And if that rate is zero... well, you probably have work to do. |

I don't think you'll get a set answer as it's depends on your niche and the quality of traffic (how targeted it is!). Also have they been presold? If they are coming from your list already or somewhere of authority and have been presold then I've seen high percent to views opt-in. Rich |

400-1000 visitors will give you a pretty good idea of how your offer will perform over the long term in it's current form. Other factors include... - traffic source - landing page layout - presellling tactic Hope This Helps!! TL |

I agree with the posts above. Not until your visitors hits around 500 can you really gage how well your product is doing. I have set up more than 20 sales pages over the last 2 years and my highest conversion rate after 500 visits is 5 percent. As you say yourself, there is no right answer to this question. You know your product better than anyone and you will know whether your monthly income of 320.00 dollars - or whatever it might be - can be improved upon or not. John Burton |

Really Appreciate The Feedback Everyone... I definitely learned something from this post, I am NOT a patient person, in fact I have NO PATIENCE, I would have probably called a promotion quits after 100 visits. Now I'll hold out a little longer... |

I was looking for the answer to this question too, I think 500-1000 sounds ok, aslong as your getting targeted traffic though then you should not worry, think about what the people want to see on your landing page, questions they might ask, and answer them! All the best!

1% conversion: IS the rule of thumb. If you dont get that, something is wrong
