Today i talked with a client who sells adult type items. He advertises on a website for local business a £40 per month however he can only advertise some of his items there. I approached him and offered him a deal of £20 per month for a wordpress site! He accepted but on the condition it gets to the front page of google. I guess this will be easy as the keyword is his business name and town. |

Good news. Well done for that. Yes search engine ranking shouldn't be a problem if te domain name is as you say. John Burton |

Great news, with Wordpress and a little promotion you should easily be able to get the business name first. Well done on the business deal, now you need to make that one of many |

My wordpress sites make it near the first page on google for their keywords and I can't be too sure why. But I use the keywords in post titles and the post and tags. But my regular xsite pro websites are no where to be found in google usually. I use the google xml site map plugin and submit to google webmasters at: google.com/webmasters Mike |

Hey,.. well done! I agree with the other comments that you can replicate this success with other offline businesses by using WordPress and very selective Keywords and some good SEO and WEB2.0 techniques (very simple ones). If you're promoting to businesses offline in your own geographic area you could make a really great business out of this. For instance, you could offer to set up the site and guarantee to get them onto Google page 1 within say 60 days (should be ample) and charge them a set up fee of say $500,.. plus an ongoing monthly membership to your SEO management and tweakignservice for say $27 per month (or whatever you can swing). If you don't get them up to GP1 in 60 days they only have to pay the initial deposit which you could probably set up as $100 to $200 and that way they still get value and your costs are covered. I'd say that you'd have a pretty darn good chance in a localised demographic of getting 90% of your clients on to GP1 within 60 days. I have a brother in Australia doing this for local clients using Joomla and he's making a killing! All the best with this..it could be a solid income for you! :-) |
