Hello all,

I have been trying to get something going with Internet Marketing for a few months now and feel like I am either very close or so totally lost, I just don't know which.

I fell on this forum today and would kindly ask for some guidance.

Warrior Forum sounds like a great place to be, and I will probably join. It's just that I have been burned a few times this year and quite honestly, my butt is sore as hell from the $%&*@ I have been getting.

Your support and help is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks in advance.

Hi David,

Since there is so much information out there, just think of the next few steps you would need to take to get to your goal. You want to build a list and create a product to give away to encourage folks to give you their name and email address. Here are some first few steps I've taken:

1) Find a product you'd like to promote. You can purchase a private label rights product.

2) Select a domain name and get it registered with a hosting site like GoDaddy.com.

3) Select an autoresponder service for your product. I like using AWeber.

4) Design your squeeze page. I was able to get a template from OptinProfits. You'll need to unzip it to see it with something like WinZip. Your squeeze page is where you can capture names and email addresses.

5) Host your new squeeze page with a hosting site like Hostgator.com or GoDaddy.com. They both have good customer service.

5) Upload your squeeze page with with a free file client like FileZilla.

6) You can advertise your product in the Classifieds section of Warrior Forum and generate traffic.

Good luck!

Emi

Thanks for responding. I have been working on a Golf blog for a couple of months. I have a good Alexa ranking 242k, but only get a few visits a day. I am using wordpress on a godaddy hosting account and don't have a squeeze page. I am trying to market a couple of eBooks on golf, but so far no sales. I am wondering if I should set up a squeeze page for the eBooks.

I have been posting articles at ezinearticles.com and have had a couple picked up for publishing by someone else. I am also submitting to goarticles.com, howto.com and article dashboard.com. I am commenting on other peoples blogs and in forums, so I figure this is what has helped with my ranking.

I am not sure what I need to do to start building my list and better yet, making some sales.

What do you think?

My blog is worldgolfemporium.com

Thanks again!!!

Easy to read and navigate... not bad at all. Soon as you sell something you can change it from amateur to professional, since the definition of professional is: following an occupation as a means of livelihood or for gain

Thanks for the feedback. Do you have any suggestions on getting traffic or sales?

BTW - The Amateur is for amateur golfer.

Appreciate your thoughts.

I didn't go through your blog posts but I have found by writing stories or blogs about celebrities or very popular items for your site can help bring traffic in. I recently did a test with this by using tags for a popular video that went viral pretty fast and embeding the video in a post on my site. In a 4 or 5 day period I saw a huge spike in traffic and blog traffic. I did it just as a test. Its my version of trial and error for my real sites. But this also depends if your site is pinging properly and you have all the proper setups for a good site map... I wouldn't use this but just looking on google now after watching the news about the poor family in colorado and the kid in the balloon. The amount of refrences to the childs name is growing by over 100 instances every minute and probably more even now.

So news stories help as well. Why would people use my related news sections on sites? I have no reason of knowing other than my stats show they do. Even right from google its self

Hey man, I hear you. I am also a newbie, and after spending a bunch of money on different products, I feel that the WF could have saved me thousands of dollars if I had come here first! Damn! Oh, well, I never regret investing in myself and my education.

Hi David,

Your site looks very good - lots going on and plenty of pictures to break up the text. The template is easy on the eye with easily readable text and the soft cream post background. You could safely lose the blog directory links in the sidebar (that's precious real estate on your home page) and I would definitely tighten up the template margin so it fits onto one webpage so there's no need to scroll across. Your optin needs a bit of work - give people a good reason to optin.

A free ebook would be great here and you could add an image of the ecover above or below the optin. Maybe offer a 'lite' version of one of the ones you sell, or say the first chapter, then you can sell the rest on the backend and also promote your other book to your list.

Other than that just keep on with what you have been doing, building your social media readership/followers, submitting articles and social bookmarking them and bulking out the site with some great pillar articles.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the response YOUniversityLife. I will take a look at your suggestions. All the books are affiliate books. Should ask them publisher if I can give away the first chapter on their material? I could probably build something on my own, but haven't really thoght about that one.

Thanks

Hi David Your site look good!

Try to offer some thing for free (an ebook) so people can get motivated to optin, then publish articles and the "about me" box add your link so they can optin to download your free ebook.

Hi David,

Start List building before it's to late..
Offer Unique report about golf to your visitor, and if you want more optin rate, just add an pop up optin , that will boost your optin rate significantly..

Stop spending your money on books, ebooks and guru stuff and buy some ads. It is the best way to learn.

HI all

Just wanted to chip in and say that i am just starting out in this biz and have half written my "Free Report" in order to get some subscribers in my chosen niche.

Very excited and a little nervous at the same time as not sure if it's going to work as friends are lets say very jokey about the whole thing.

Definately should not have told them!!

Anyway any advice would be most welcome.

Thanks

Gio
