Default The Best Alternative to Camtasia?

Hi,

What's the best video capture/presentation software other than Camtasia?

PC and/or Mac examples?

Also please state why you think its better.

Camstudio - PC, but not sure if there's a Mac version.

Why it's good: Free and does the job.

Camstudio is closes to Camtasia...and a lot cheaper...$270 cheaper...

Camtasia Studio is what you should go with. I would not get to caught up on the price of it either because in the long run the software will pay for itself many times over.

Also you get a 30 day trial. So you could use it for 30 days and see if you like it...

Or if you want to get really "industrious" - You could create a short info-product - sell it and have enough money to cover the cost when your trial period is over.

If you are looking for alternative, try camstudio.org it's free. But it's not better then camtasia studio.

Haven't used it myself but I know people who love CamStudio IM.

One great thing about Camtasia is that they have video tutorials on every aspect of using the software. Yes, it's more money but if you're not tech savvy the learning curve is greater.

I do thing Jing is a better alternative for a freebee.

If you're looking for free stuff, I suggest Jing, though it is not as better as Camtasia. But it's just the same.
