Feel like quitting - very sad... Could someone evaluate my site?

My site is How To Seduce Women | How To Pick Up Girls On Facebook... ive plugged away on and off for a few years with this site, creating backlinks and tried viral marketting and i just dont seem to be able to get it to the first page.

First Up,

Your competitors sites looks like it has alot more content when you first hit the landing page...it appears to be in more of a blog format at first glance whereas your site, to my eyes, appears to direct me more to have to "buy" something".

But aside from that...i'm guessing that the traffic generation is the issue...what sort of traffic numbers are you getting to your site on a monthly basis and where is it coming from? What sort of traffic gen methods are you using?

I mean its awesome to have a nice looking site...but even the best site in the world wont sell anything if it never receives traffic...thats the lifeblood of an internet marketer.

Anyway, reply back with some details and we can go from there.

Your site is awesome. I like it better than your competitor's site. However, they offer a free ebook, you offer a free newsletter. Time to amp that up a bit, offer a free video or audio, or something better.

I wouldn't give up on that site.

You are getting good rankings, a little shove and you should get that little bit higher.

I would be more forceful with getting the name and email though. These people want to go out the door right away and seduce women.

Make a free report that seduces them into wanting to find out top tips for getting a woman RIGHT away, this way you're catering for what they are really looking for and they'll be more likely to sign up.

Those are my number for the past few months in visitors, i know it seems like big climbs in visitors but my site was messed up for a month previous from hackers which caused me to have to fiddle around a lot which lost me visitors. previous to that i would get between 7-8 hundred a month.

and yet only 35 suscribers to my list.

Im assuming most my visitors come from my ezine articles and google but im still not ranking well enough to make money

First question is how do you even know the other guys site is converting?

Second - I did notice a "click here" Immediately on his landing page. It's in a first little bit at the top.

What he is doing wrong - or what looks wrong to me is the book he is giving away, I see the graphic, went to click on it, and nothing is happening! He should really have an AR there.

Your AR is up front - but there is no call to action. Free newsletters. big whoop. About what? Are you going to tell me something juicy in there?

So, maybe a sentence or two on why I should sign up. Can I get a mini course or something on "getting over fear of women" (instead of ebook) or something? What will you be giving me?

"Free 7 day mini course will have you on your way to women lining up at your door in just a week!"

It's odd that you have this amazing website, both graphically and content-wise, but you have absolutely no call to action for your 'newsletter'. People don't want newsletters, they want something that will help them soon. Fix that and you'll see your opt-ins go up tenfold, easy.

Right off the bat I see several issues.

1. Graphics load too slow. You need to optimize your graphics so that the page loads faster.
2. Confusion. I'm not sure if I should opt-in or click on the free book. Maybe scroll down and read an article. Anyway. Put your optin box on the right side of the page, and put a picture of your ebook underneath it. Put that above the fold with a big arrow and a bit of text saying "get my FREE ebook here." You should incentivize the optin with your ebook. No one wants to "join a mailing list."

Also use those points that you have in the middle of the page as bullet points to sell your optin. But make sure that you use benefit laden copy.

Ex.: "Learn how you can create attraction. It is the FIRST step to picking up women. If you don't learn this secret, all else is lost! "

That's a riff off your first point.

Also, how are you driving traffic? You should probably have a "Contact us" page, and a TOS page as well, especially if you are using PPC.

I feel your website is a lot better than your competitor one but i feel there is a big difference in the traffic that each one attracts. So work on quality backlinks and try to upgrade your website. I think you could give some feature that will help the visitors immediately. Something likeonline coaching or stuff like that. This should help. Thanks

This was my first niche. It is dominated by damn good branders who do a lot of offline event (PUA Lairs, etc) you need to get out now and move on.

Driving traffic to your site is obviously key, but beyond that,
I'm just looking at it as an adverting/graphic designer:

Your page is more interesting as than your competitors, by far, but at the same time its pretty contrasty with the black and white.

I would increase the font 1-5 pts at least.
My eyes are working too hard and if this is about picking p chicks, well then lets see some chicks. Typically pupils grow larger to accept an image in, with just text, my pupils might be growing smaller trying to strain to read the small text - I'm might even lose the emotionality of "Yes, we are going for chicks" rather than "here I am being bookish again or being safe."

The starkness of the page also makes it flow a little less. More open lighter pages may open up the pupils more and give a little excitement. If there was video, then I'd see why the black borders would need to point to the white body/video of the page. The text would even be more interesting if it had more pics/video, and maybe more pics with eyes that my eye can "connect" with. That's my read. Anyway great job overall.

I used to be a buyer in this niche! (and yes I am good at pick up, this niche proved to me that some clickbank products can actually be great.

So here is a customers perspective.

OK, I go to your site, I look around.

First your newsletter needs to be more noticeable.

Heck make one of those things where it drops down in front and says "Get (your name here)'s free ebook on attraction and seduction no strings attached! Recieve free newsletter updates and information!" Or whatever.

Off to the side you have good free information, that is what I would spend my time looking at.

Oh and you have a review of a product on there? Well I see no reason to buy it, I got good free information, and you don't really seem to push the product.

Maybe if instead you said "Check out our top product reviews!" then review multiple products. Want to know good products to review, or want me to write reviews for you?

I know a lot about the niche so if you want I could even write a few for you (I might still have some on my computer)

Your website definitely looks professional, I would never question it.

A couple things:

1) First, don't give up! Remember, if it was easy every one would be rich.

2) Forget about comparing yourself to your competitors. It's not about who has the best product. Focus on the marketing.

3) Forgot your google rankings for now. Remember, SEO is only ONE piece of the puzzle. It's only another way to get traffic. The real question is, does your site convert?!? Do you have a profitable sales funnel?

Too often people look at SEO as the answer because it's a "free" source of traffic. The bottm line is it's just another way to get traffic, you need to focus on your marketing.

In terms of your marketing and increasing conversions:

You have a lot of work to do on your site. First, you need to decide what type of site do you want to have, and focus on a niche. Do you want to have a site where it's a long sales letter? Or, primarily a content based site to get htem to sign up for your newsletter? A squeeze page site to get them to only sign up for your newsletter? I'd recommend doing all sites.

Right now when I go to your site in seems like it's generally about seduction. In your post you mentioned it was about using facebook to meet women. There is a disconnect there. I think you will be a lot more successfull if you focus on the using facebook or myspace to meet women, rather than in general about seduction. People don't want to learn about seduction. They want to meet women. A step by step here is how you pick up women will work a lot better than generally talking about how to seduce women. It's the same thing with any market. Take making money. Do you think a general book about the theory of making money will sell better than a step by step guide to making money using clickbank?

After you "re-focus", get out there and market the hell out of it. Make yourself the expert on using social networking sites to meet women. To do this I'd focus on the newsletter and building up a list and setup a high quality auto-responder series. Create one video using camtasia showing how you sent a girl a message, then another with her reply, and then show a picture of you taking her out on a date, in three separate auto-responders. You don't have to give the details of "how" you to do it, that is what they can buy the e-book to learn.

After you have the sites, the auto-responders, use adwords and paid traffic to see if you can get conversions. If you do, then and ONLY then use SEO and every other method to get as much TARGETTED traffic as you can.

It is a lot of work. You have to make the decision if you want to throw everything else out and only focus on making this work.

Anyway, sorry for the long post, I just want to give you some hope.

My competitor is actually a contact on my AIM and we met through a thread on affiliate marketing on a non-related forum, just so happens he was my competition... apparently he banks over 100k and i bank zero.

Is 6-700 visitors a month enough to make good money? Should i try something else aswell as bank links to get my ranking in google results higher?

Im definitely going to have a pop up opt in form after the replies given here and im still adding to the design of my site as it is a new template.

After 3 years working on this site i need to start seeing some reward soon.

To improve your Google ranking, you really need to work on your seo. At the moment, you're trying to rank for generic, mainly single keywords such as attract and seduce. You need to find phrases instead. For example, "hot seduce" had 390 exact phrase searches last month in Google, and the competion from other sites is fairly low. So, with the right keyword phrases, within meta tags, description and h1 tags, you could get ranked much more highly than you are at the moment. Then it's up to your site to convert the increased number of visitors into paying customers.

Actually it's a direct link to the e-book. They don't even need to sign-up to his newsletter to get it. That needs to be fixed first.

I wouldn't just hand them the free ebook, you can download it easily without having to give an email address for it so most people would probably download it and click the back arrow button on to the next thing.

Let them opt in to receive the ebook instead so you should probably place your opt in box directly underneath the e-book image with a call to action.

I downloaded your free e-book and you should place some of the information from it on your web page especially since it's not your regular "attract women" guide but that your USP is about using Facebook as a vehicle to achieve this, so that's your unique angle that separates you from other dating guide marketers, so use it.

Alter your web page content so that it has a definite call to action, I'm not sure what to do when I visit your site, am I supposed to buy or sign up for something or just read your content?, be specific the action you want your prospects to take and then guide them to it, make it easy for them.

Make some changes and measure the results and try to improve your search engine rankings by digging a little deeper with your niche.

Not in this niche myself, but from a 'dudes point of view', I would:

A. Throw up a "peel away ad" on the home page and lose/drop the 'opt-in' on the left side and in its place, throw up an image of a HOT ASS Chick! :-)

B. In that ad, tease me a few times about not being able to pick up chicks but then

C. Tell me how I can change all of that...RIGHT NOW..THIS EVENING..and do it by..

D. Telling me to sign up to get your kick-ass "...how to attract any hot woman you want..."(at a club..online..etc.,etc.,) report...filled with simple steps on how I can instantly become the "Male God of Attraction".. :-)

Move the "Free Facebook" report/guide down below the fold and MOVE UP the rotating banner pics (FYI.. MY ATTENTION was immediately drawn to the ad that says The 7 Was Women 'Size You Up'"...cuz the picture of that woman was very attractive and hey...I'm a dude and that kind of thing is built into our DNA...)

Lose the articles..at the very least, only provide 2...MAYBE 3 and leave the rest for sign ups to your mailing list! As was stated, you're giving away TOO MUCH on your site.

Regarding the link to the "Online Game Review", when that page came up, all the formatting was skewed! When I saw that, I wanted to hit the 'x' and close the browser. Your goal here is to overwhelm me by not just your knowledge on the given subject, but also by how well your site is laid out and the information is presented.

Speaking of 'skewed formatting', I clicked on the link to get the PDF..OMG! Formatting issues all over that report! If I saw that, I WOULD be heading off to your competitors site in a heart-beat! First impressions, especially if you're trying to come off as a somewhat 'expert' in the field, is hard to get back once it's been easily lost...when it could have been averted.

Again, this is from a 'dudes point of view' who probably would buy what it is you're selling....take that for what it's worth.

I don't know how much of the content on your site is original, but if most of your content is not original I would try adding more original content and getting rid of most of the duplicate content.

The keywords for the niche you are in are not going to be easy to get, so you just need to keep getting good back links. There is nothing wrong with the looks of your site, it's just a very competitive niche and will take a lot of work to beat your competition.

This is the "golden ticket", I cant believe EVERYONE didn't say the same thing. You said you get at least 600 a month, but you only have 35 people on your list!

If your visitors had to optin for that ebook, you'd have a BIG list, and you'd already be making money.
