new advertising opportunity? Google images ppc?

I dont know if this is just the first time ive seen this or it is new but i did a search in google images and found sponsored txt ads. Is this new? Thoughts?

    I believe this is relatively new. I seem to remember getting an email about it from the adsense digest team a few weeks ago.

    It's not new, but the implementation is much more prevalent now. Google has been trying to monetize image traffic for years. From what I understand you can't target it and honestly, unless it's a super small niche - why would you?

      I dont know if its worth it but i know if they are ranked it can make a difference. For example for halloween my gf wanted a specific costume typed the name into images and clicked the image and we ended up buying it from that.
