Hello everyone, I just wanted to say hi and basically explain a litlle about where I am in this amazing new business. Well, I have been researching this stuff for three or four months now and I have procrastinated enough and have finally picked a niche and am in the middle of writing my " Free Report" in order to get myself a listof subscribers. My main problem is that when looking around at competition in my niche I see others who are so advanced and clearly know a lot more than me it is a little bit daunting and makes me feel like I have no chance of getting anywhere. I know that everyone started somewhere but I am sure there are some of you who appreciate where I am coming from. Anyway thanks for reading and looking forward to using this forum more. Regards Gio |

Hi Gio, it is actually good to have competition.I recommend you see what your competitors are doing and make your self stand out from them. For instance, sign up for their newsletters to see how they market to their list, look at their optin form and model it (do not copy). What they do seems to be working.

Hi Gio Your competitors may not know any more than you do, they may be struggling the same as you. Don't assume that everybody in the industry knows more than you, You probably know stuff they don't. Welcome to the forum anyway, I dont seem to contribute as much as I should but iv decided to turn over a new leaf. Ste |

Thanks tommen. I have actually done what you said and signed up to a direct competitor and although I was impressed with his sign up forms and sales copy I did not recieve anything from him for ten days and that was not anything but an offer to buy his product immediately. The way I have been taught or what I have managed to learn is that you shouild give away valuable free information first to build a relationship... so although nervous about starting I was encouraged by this "error". Cheers for replying Gio |

Many marketers think "how much money can I make" when they should think "how can I help my visitors/prospects to solve their problems". | |

Hi Gios, and welcome to the forum. You are in a great position right now. (ready to learn) You are also in the right place. There's so much to learn in IM but and looks like you're on to a good start. Keep asking questions. I applaud you for not procrastinating any more. That is wonderful! Keep learning and acting on what you learn and you'll do fine. klinvie |

Never worry about those advanced people. You will learn as much or lot more than them as you fail, learn, fail, learn etc,.just go on practicing everything and learning why a particular method did not work out.

Just think that if they can do it, you can! And because there already doing it you can see what they are doing wrong or could improve on and do it |

Cudos to you from another person new to this forum. I have found some excellent resources on a post from Kim Roach dated 10/15/09 at 2:33 pm. Since I don't quite know how to do links yet, just search for her post on that date. Hope this helps... |

Hi Gio, Many of the people who seem to be experts to you will likely just be good at researching and delivering the info they find to their followers. They likely are learning about their niche as they go, just as you are. You can also gain expert status in a short amount of time by delivering quality info on any niche to your followers. You do not need to know everything there is to know about any given niche. Building the list is not as difficult as it may seem if you use all of the social networks that are available to you. Just start following everyone you can find in your particular niche, deliver good content and they will naturally check your site out of curiosity to see who you are. |

My advice would be to limit your time on the warriorforum as much as possible. Choose one method of moneymaking and dont get distracted by any others.
